Last week, B–A was recognised alongside our partners at Fonterra as finalists in the Commercial Impact Award at the Research Association New Zealand 'Insights Effectiveness' Awards. The recognition was for the research and brand development work that led to Your Co-op – work we’re proud to have developed in with the Fonterra team. It was great to be there on the night with Fonterra’s Anna Parcell, seeing our work alongside some of the best research and insight work from across New Zealand. Thanks to the Research Association New Zealand (RANZ) for a great evening.

We’re super pleased to be named a finalist for Service Excellence at the 2026 Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. We’re pretty big on customers – putting our own clients at the centre of our business, and helping our clients put their own customers at the centre of what they do. This is a nice bit of recognition for our team, and for the clients who trust us to get close to their businesses, their brands and, most importantly, their customers. Say hello to a very familiar face! We're delighted to welcome Sophie Hollobon back to B–A, this time as an Account Director. Sophie first joined B–A in 2022 before heading overseas on her OE, where she worked with major brands across top agencies like BBH London – gaining valuable international experience across the industry. In her role as Account Director, Sophie will be working across some of our fantastic clients, including Fonterra Farm Source, Gallagher and Challenge Fuel, helping to connect strategy, creative and client needs to deliver great work. Having already been part of the B–A whānau, Sophie knows the team, the agency and the fast-paced world of agency life – so we’re thrilled to have her back and ready to hit the ground running.

The biggest occassion of the biggest event is upon us. The 2026 Rural Industry Leaders Dinner is building huge momentum in its second year – kicking off Fieldays®. We’re honoured to be supporting both Rural Industry Leaders and New Zealand Rural Support Trust in helping bring together rural leaders to celebrate, and raise funds for, Kiwi farmers and growers and their communities.

Excited to share that our Managing Director Will, will be joining the judging panel for this year’s NZ Marketing Awards. From Will: “A lot of NZ's clever marketing can be overlooked in too many 'creative award' shows. So being invited to judge these, for me, means having an opportunity to dig into the thinking behind the bright and shiny campaigns and celebrate the stuff that drives the outcomes.”

A nice finish to the very successful first The Worthies Conference and Awards. A day of good insights into marketing approaches moving the public and not-for-profit sectors forward. Are we worthy? Alongside our beloved New Zealand Rural Support Trust partners, we have been chosen as finalists in two categories of the inaugural The Worthies Awards. The new awards 'celebrate change and the people behind it', as the world’s first awards dedicated to excellence in Public Sector, Charity, and Not-for-Profit communications. The film deemed worthy of this recognition, and the response it has evoked, has been described by Rural Support Chairperson Michelle Ruddell: "Being in the room while the film is playing, seeing the emotive reaction of the audience AND THEN having people share their vulnerabilities because of the film they just watched – is an incredibly proud and humbling moment."
