We loved seeing our Account Executive, Xanthe Wainui-Mackle, team up with the Commercial Communications Council to visit The University of Waikato. Always a privilege to help inspire the next generation of comms talent 👏
Last week we had the privilege to visit The University of Waikato, hosting a pop-up and presenting in two different lectures. We were very lucky to have one of our wonderful grads Xanthe Wainui-Mackle (KingSt Advertising), join us. We loved her advice for the first-year students, particularly to “be a sponge - beyond the curriculum”. Thank you so much to Amber Cardale and Erin Cosgrave for helping us organise our visit, you guys made everything so pleasant and seamless, and to Fabrice Desmarais and Cheryl C. for letting us present in your lectures. We can’t wait to visit again!

A pleasure to have Icehouse in the House a few weeks ago! We loved opening our doors to the Waikato alumni network for a night behind the scenes at KingSt. From sharing our agency journey to diving into honest conversations about leadership and life, it was a fantastic turnout. Thanks to everyone who joined us. #Networking #KingStAdvertising #MarketingWaikato #BusinessCommunity
What a turnout for our latest Waikato Icehouse alumni event, hosted at KingSt Advertising in Hamilton. A great crowd of alumni and guests came together for an evening of connection and insight, going behind the scenes at one of New Zealand's most respected independent agencies and a creative powerhouse of the central North Island. Chris walked us through the KingSt story, a full-service agency spanning creative, media, digital, strategy, branding, and design, with a client list featuring some of the region's most recognisable names. He then opened up about something more personal, sharing his own health journey, the lessons he has taken from it, and the changes he has since made in how he leads the business. An honest and generous conversation that gave everyone plenty to reflect on. Thank you to Chris and the KingSt team for hosting us, and to everyone who came along. Want to connect with fellow alumni near you? Check out our upcoming events and find one in your area. View the calendar: https://hubs.li/Q04mVmSl0

Tomorrow is officially the biggest day of the year! Fieldays is more than just an event, it’s the global epicenter of agricultural innovation. We have worked hard to get a front row seat to see the grit and ingenuity of the primary sector. As well as partnering with Fieldays® since the beginning we are proud to have several clients and sites represented this year. We love seeing our clients smash it on the big stage! If you’re heading to Fieldays over the next four days, give them a wave, make sure to visit the Innovation Hub, check out the field, and cast your vote at the People Choice Award kiosk! #Fieldays #Fieldays2026 #Agriculturenz #KingSt

The end of an era at King St 🥂 This month we farewelled director and shareholder, Judy Coulter. After an impressive 27 year tenure as our Financial Controller, Jude has decided it’s time for the next chapter in life. Her role included much more than being in charge of finance. She oversaw operations, systems, processes, contracts and made sure that everything a complex business needs to run smoothly is all in hand. Then on top of this she dealt with the every-day challenges that come our way. Every single day. If that wasn’t enough, she also fulfilled the role of “camp Mum”, all the unseen work including making sure all the cupboards were well stocked, the Easter Eggs were on all desks at Easter, the Christmas cards and gifts and everything that is required to keep us on track was in hand. Every agency needs “that person”. The one who is an oasis of black and white in a sea of shades of grey. The one who worries about margins, chargeable time and relentlessly chases every last person for their timesheets. Jude was that person. Smart, great eye for detail - could spot a typo from 100 paces, very blunt, impossible to rattle and 100% committed to King St and everything we stand for. Over the years, as we’ve grown and evolved, Jude has been responsible for making sure all our systems, processes and reporting have been fit for purpose, bearing in mind the industry we work in is vastly different to what it was in 1999 when King St was formed. Jude is now settling into a well-earned retirement based in Ohauiti. Playing golf, travelling, working in the garden and spending time with friends and family. We owe so much to Jude for all she contributed to King St; we would not be in this position without all her blood, sweat and tears. Congratulations Jude, and thanks for everything. Your best days are ahead. #KingSt #Retirement #WorkFamily #EndofAnEra #Leadership 📹 Jono Viviani
