⭐ 1 OUT OF 5 — NO TRANSPARENCY AND NO SUPPORT
My experience with Hearth was an absolute nightmare and caused severe financial hardship.
Before the installation even started, I contacted our assigned Hearth account manager and specifically asked whether everything looked correct and whether anything was missing. I made it clear that I needed to know before we started the job. I received no response.
During orientation, he told us we could call or text him anytime with questions or concerns. However, I contacted him several times and even called, both before and after the installation, with no response. He finally responded eight days after the installation was completed.
By then, the equipment had been purchased and installed, the labor and expenses had been paid, and the entire job was finished. We then discovered that the financing was not completed or funded, leaving us trying to recover $9,500.
Contractors and business owners have no meaningful way to track where a customer is in the loan process. We could not clearly see what was pending, whether documents were missing, what had actually been approved, or whether the loan was fully cleared for installation and funding.
That lack of visibility is dangerous. I tried to protect myself by contacting our account manager before beginning the work and asking him to alert me if anything was wrong. He ignored the messages and calls when his guidance mattered most.
We had to arrange payments directly with the customer just to have a chance of recovering the money. This drained our available funds, disrupted operations, and caused tremendous stress.
My warning to every contractor: do not rely on what appears to be an approval, and do not depend on Hearth’s promised support. Do not purchase equipment or begin work without written confirmation that the loan is fully approved and cleared for funding.
This was a $9,500 financial disaster made worse by a system with no useful loan tracking and an account manager who remained silent for eight days. I would never trust Hearth’s process again.
