I rented a car from SelfDrive in May and paid using my credit card. After that, they repeatedly deducted money from my card in the name of fines and extra mileage. They refunded my security deposit only one month after I returned the car, but then, two weeks later, today , they deducted AED 183 twice again without any clear explanation.

I rented the car for AED 1,789, but in total they have deducted more than AED 4,000 from my account. I also cannot remove my credit card details from their app/website, which is very concerning.

This has been an extremely stressful and disappointing experience. Many of us rent cars because we cannot afford to buy one, and we trust companies to treat customers fairly—especially when bringing our families together. Instead, this experience has caused financial hardship and a great deal of frustration.

I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I experienced. Please be very careful before renting from Self Drive. I am sharing my experience so that others can make an informed decision.Please please don't go with self drive. Since 2 months because of this continuous deduction I LOST My sleep, peace and happiness.
