Suet pellets
I recently saw a report from RSPB in UK suggesting summer feeding should reduce use of seeds and provide fat balls, suet pellets and mealworms as alternatives. I ordered suet pellets and dried mealworms. These were promptly delivered. For the initial two to three days visiting birds showed little interest, but now woodpeckers, tits and some finches have been feeding on the suet pellets and the dried mealworms have been discovered by a resident pair of nuthatches.
