This company sold me a Skyline 350GT 🍋

This company sold me a Skyline 350GT, When I arrived at the airport to meet the dealer for a test drive I was left waiting for an hour, he arrived in the vehicle in question which I then drove back to his car yard. Upon a walk around of the vehicle it was immediately obvious that it was not up to standard, there was body damage in several places around the vehicle and the GPS system was not working as there was no memory card in it, the vehicle was covered in baby oil inside and out, none of the tyre changing equipment was in the vehicle ect and numerous other issues. So needless to say I rejected the vehicle to which the dealer insisted he had another vehicle.
Now I had business further north and was due to come back in a week to test drive, however one day later the dealer informs me that the vehicle I rejected is now the only one available but not too worry, he would fix all of the issues and concerns that I had with the vehicle and it would be ready to pick up in a weeks time. The finance company paid for the vehicle before I could verify the work had been done and it was registered in my name by the dealer. And you guessed it when I arrived with my 10 year old nephew to pick up the vehicle nothing had been touched on the vehicle, the tyres were still low on air, and the body work was not done, nothing was done. The dealer who did the sale was not there and the other workers new nothing about any work to be done. They had me driving around Auckland for over an hour to get the map memory card fitted, when it was it was of Japan! By then it was after 5 o'clock on Friday. I felt that I had no choice but to leave Auckland in the vehicle and sort out the issues afterwards 😅 , 3 hours south of Auckland and the transmission blew up, the dealer informed me it was a minor issue and it would reset by itself lol, I barely limped home. This nightmare has been going on since December 04, MTA mediated for us to resolve these problems but the company just did nothing, MTA gave up. Our consumer rights are supposed to protect us but no one can compel this company to "do the right thing" the consumer in NZ is totally at the mercy of these dodgy companies doing dodgy business and at the end of the day I am still paying 13 thousand dollars for a vehicle that I haven't been able to use and is not even in my possession anymore. Now in September 05 we have heard the company has just gone into receivership 😮‍💨.

Bought a car remotely from overseas at…

Bought a car remotely from overseas at the 299 great road south location. Was Dealing with Ankid, who was extremely accommodating and reasonable to work with. I had specific items I wanted in my new car and I was very happy with the flexibility they showed in working with me. After having vehicle inspected, they were quick to correct defects and also picked me up at the airport. Definitely recommend.

Vehicle Direct-206 Takanini (avoid buying car here)

I bought Lexus 2013 CT200h from Vehicle Direct Dealer in 206 Takanini in May 2024. After 4 weeks using the car, the ordinary battery broke down (not the hybrid battery), I found out it was manufactured in Dec 2012. The battery is a 12-year old and I asked the dealer to replace brand new but instead the dealer gave me another old battery. I have talked to the dealer several times but he keeps arguing about the battery, very unprofessional during my conversation with on the phone he just hang up. AVOID BUYING CARS FROM THIS CAR YARD- THEY DONT CARE AFTER YOU BOUGHT THEIR CAR. Next step I will file complaint to NZ consumer rights against this car yard

Series of Disappointment

We bought a Lexus car from the Vehicle Direct December 2021. Disappointed with the car. We have had problems with caliper and now the Anti Fog system is faulty. Please be extremely careful when buying cars from them.
