Fraudulent activities - thousands stolen for no service and lies about AIMA capabilities
They are fraud. They made a mistake and want over $6000 to fix it. DO NOT USE THEM. Uniplaces lie, make commitments that they are AIMA compliant as does the landlord but then go back on their word. If you need an apartment for AIMA do not use them. If you want thousands of dollars taken from you for nothing in return - this is your place.

Your booking request was submitted for one guest, and unfortunately the number of guests cannot be changed after a booking has been confirmed. To resolve this, Uniplaces offered a solution that involved submitting a new booking request for two guests, after which we would cancel the original booking and issue a full refund for it, meaning you would not incur any additional cost. We also offered to liaise with the landlord on your behalf to help facilitate the process.
Expensive, but useful
The service is nice, but the fee is incredibly expensive. I am very grateful for all the assistance, but for a student, the fee is just too much. If I did not have the discount code from my university (even with it is the fee very high), I would not use this service at all.

Pretty good
Pretty good, easy, and fast service. However, they do send a lot of emails, including ones mentioning not having finalized your reservation days after the payment is done, hence the four stars.

Be very careful! There are better options out there.
They just want your money, nothing else! You pay before you can see the actual contract, and when it shows that terms are unacceptable due to content, the prepaid rent ( a must to see the contract) is confiscated and sent to the landlord. Quite a business there... There are much better options out there! This experience costed my daughter 909 Euros from a tight students budget.

We can see you had a succesfully confirmed booking and you later informed us that you no longer wished to sign the rental agreement, we asked you to share the specific contract clauses that concerned you so we could review them. As we did not receive any supporting evidence, we were unable to make an exception to the applicable cancellation policy, which had been accepted at the time of booking.
We appreciate your understanding.
Frustrating and unprofessional experience – consistent "bait and switch" tactics
Over the past 8 weeks, I have attempted to view several properties they have listed in Porto, but I have yet to be able to see a single one.
Every time I inquire about an apartment, I receive a message stating the property is 'no longer relevant,' only to see that exact same listing reposted shortly after.
Furthermore, despite multiple automated emails promising that an agent will contact me, I have never received a single follow-up call or message.
It is incredibly difficult to understand why they maintain such a large, active pool of listings if none of them are actually available for viewing. This cycle of listing and 'un-listing' properties, combined with the complete lack of communication from their agents, feels highly unprofessional and, frankly, raises serious questions about their business practices.
I would strongly advise anyone looking for a rental in Porto to look elsewhere and avoid the frustration I have experienced with this company.
