It started out looking promising, with prompt and detailed replies and an apparent adaptability to my situation. The AI agent agreed I could use their services on a pay-per-service basis as I'm not working all the time and don't need a monthly plan. However, when I tried to sign up following the instructions given, I was asked to pay for the monthly plan. The AI bot then admitted it had screwed up and told me a different way to sign up that also didn't work. When the AI bot realised it didn't have the answers, it stopped replying to my emails. Then I tried the chat bot, which made me explain everything again from scratch and then told me to send an email. So after hours wasted, more than 28 emails and an online chat - I have not been able to sign up. Tedious waste of time!

It was easy and simple

I had a fairly complex tax case involving self-employment income, quarterly Modelo 130 and Modelo 303 filings, the annual Modelo 390, and the preparation of my IRPF 2025. In addition, my 2024 tax return had previously been reviewed by AEAT, so it was important that my 2025 filings were fully accurate and properly documented.

Alba and Sandra at TaxDown handled the entire process exceptionally well. They carefully reviewed all my invoices, rebuilt my bookkeeping, reconciled my income and expense records, corrected my VAT returns where necessary, and prepared a tax return that was fully aligned with the accounting records.

What impressed me most was their attention to detail and their willingness to explain every step of the process. Rather than simply submitting the return, they took the time to ensure that everything was compliant with Spanish tax regulations and reflected the supporting documentation correctly.

The communication throughout was excellent, and I always felt that my questions were taken seriously. Thanks to their work, my accounting records, VAT filings, and IRPF return are now fully reconciled and consistent.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Alba and Sandra for their professionalism, patience, and expertise. I would not hesitate to recommend TaxDown to anyone looking for dependable tax and accounting support in Spain.

I’m giving one star because, despite having the Live Plan package as promised, nobody ever reviewed my tax return. I kept contacting them through WhatsApp, but all I received were delays and empty promises like, “Don’t worry, you still have until midnight.”
They advertise themselves as a solution for expats, yet their website isn’t even available in English. Even more surprisingly, they told me to use my browser’s translation feature. I already know I can do that, but the problem is that the website breaks and produces errors when it’s translated into English.
In the end, nobody got back to me, my tax return was never reviewed, and at 11:00 PM I had to submit it myself through the Hacienda website.

As a first time tax resident in Spain, it was easy to sign up, they checked my work and even saved me some money after assessing my return (much more than the price of subscription). Luz and Natalie were both super helpful with clear instructions.

third year using the service and last one! every year I have to do many back and forth with the team to correct their errors in the declaration (because they did not read to the end the documents I provided - in this case, the doc stated that I had already paid the taxes but they put it as a debt instead). Rather than ask questions (like ' is the pension included in the 'beneficios in especies' as many companies in spain do), they charge the person with potential taxes to pay (this year they calculated +6k initially). So yes, if you want to pay a service that does everything for you, this is not for you.
Additionally, they did not inform me that the domiciliation of the payment was doable only until the 25th of June (I guess that if I pay for the full service for tax consultant I expect them alerting me about potential changes). Instead, they offered me to pay for me the NRC to Hacienda with a surcharge of 5% . They could have informed me of this happening before the 25th and they should have informed me that I could do it myself on the website of Hacienda (which I did but because I got informed myself). Very bad experience.

I hired TaxDown expecting them to handle my return, but it took seven (7) drafts to get it right. Along the way I had to point out several errors — some of them serious, and even though I kept asking them to review, they were reluctant to do so or did it superficially, with vague answers. Only after I showed them, document by document, that the figures were wrong did they make the changes. At one point their draft would have made me pay far more than necessary because they had duplicated several items. The service was slow, poorly managed, and the reviews were superficial until I insisted on each fix, and I ended up having to verify every value against the brokers' official statements myself. I will not be hiring them again.

Had a very poor experience with TaxDown and would not recommend their services. From the start, there is no real clarity about what you are actually paying for, and the way they handle upgrades and pricing feels opaque and misleading.

In my case, I was effectively upgraded without clear, explicit consent and without any transparent explanation of what that upgrade included. One moment you think you are contracting a certain service at a certain price, and the next you discover you have been moved to a more expensive plan without having a clear breakdown of why or what additional work they are supposedly doing. There is no straightforward, detailed list of services per plan, so you are left guessing what is included and what will trigger extra charges. All I heard a few time was: that's not included, you need to pay more.

What I expected was a simple, professional structure: a clear list of services, clear conditions for when an 'extra' fee applies, and full visibility on what I am authorizing before any upgrade or additional charge is made. Instead, the communication is vague, the platform does not clearly show what you are paying for at each step, and you only realize the real cost once you are already committed.

Overall, my perception is that TaxDown lacks transparency in both pricing and scope of work, trying to take advantage, and this creates a high level of mistrust.

For a tax service, where clarity, trust, and predictability are essential, this is simply unacceptable.

TaxDown seemed like the perfect solution to simplify tax management, I was wrong. The platform wouldn't let me input cryptocurrency transactions, and what should have been a quick fix turned into a 10-day support nightmare. Their CS team operates only during business hours, takes over 24 hours per reply, and each response systematically ends with another question, ensuring the issue drags on as long as possible. No ownership, no urgency, no solutions. I was eventually refunded, which I appreciate. But a refund doesn't recover lost time. If your taxes involve anything beyond basic income, especially crypto, look elsewhere.

Terrible service, lack of transparency with prices, constant upselling attempts, chat doesn't work, customer support is among the worst, they take more than 24/48 hours. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

They are extremely slow in replying to customer support requests. The promise is that they would complete your tax declaration in 24-48 hours, but this did not happen. I asked the news since I have a hard deadline that already passed because I trusted their promise, and their support is not addressing the problem. I will update here if they will end up supporting me or not.
