We found this company very communitive through the whole process. The van was excellent especially with a gas fridge so we could free camp often without needing power. It had plenty of storage space. Having the shower with a turn wall was excellent. Couldn't fault it. Would definelty hire through this company again.

Easy and smooth experience
It was an easy experience, despite the language barriers. The vehicle was reliable and well maintained. It provided us with a wonderful and affordable 5 week holiday in Europe.

It wasn't as good as it could have been
Last August I rented a 7-seater motorhome at Hertz-Trois Soleils Nantes.
The good part: the vehicle, impeccable and brand new. It worked very well and it was great to find everything new and clean.
But other rental details marred the experience:
* Chocks to balance the vehicle when parking on a slope... they are rented separately; were not included in the rent! It had never happened to us, and it was the fifth time we rented a motorhome.
* Crockery and kitchen utensils are also rented separately. The only cooking pot they gave us was 20cm in diameter (in a 7-seater motorhome!). We had to buy a bigger cooking pot.
* The AdBlue of the Diesel engine ran out and we had to pay for it ourselves; these additives should be filled at the station of origin, where the motorhome is rented
* There were no chairs or tables for outside
* There were no pillows (and they didn't tell us) so we slept 12 nights without a pillow. The reason they gave us is COVID. Has no sense. (I don't know what they do in hotels! I guess they burn hundreds of pillows every day.)
Well, all this, at the price of €285/day of rent, seems a bit ugly to me.
Too bad these details spoiled what could have been a great experience.

Renting a motorhome in France
Organising to rent a motorhome from Hertz Trois Soleil in France from my home in Australia was a bit stressful as I was worried I might get scammed by a company putting Hertz into their name. But the whole experience was fantastic. Very soon after booking online, I received a phone call from one of the Customer Service agents who answered all my questions. I was still worried as that is what a scammer would do but the agent was so thorough and so polite at all times, even when I explained why I was asking so many questions. The motorhome was presented in perfect condition, the pickup and drop off did not have any problems however it would probably be handy if the company gave clear directions on how best to get to the pickup point for SE Paris. Even better would be if they offered to arrange a driver to collect you in Paris and drive you the one hour to the pick up point. It is not easy to get to via public transport but they are lovely people once you get there. They really helped us out when we returned the vehicle.

Very helpful staff at pick up and drop off. Would be good if they didn’t close for two hours at lunchtime but otherwise great. They even gave us a lift to the railway station so we didn’t have to take a taxi.

Our road trip to France was amazing.
Our road trip to France was amazing.. the rental was a big part of it. The camping car was as clean as new. The customer service was really responsive on the last few questions we had and really efficient.
