I recently received my first Saal Digital photo book with a glossy cover and glossy pages. The quality is very good and I really like the layflat binding.

The design software was easy to use with good layouts that let me display my photos in full without cropping, preserving the original composition.

However the pages were much thicker and more rigid than expected and the finish was very glossy. I had hoped for substantial but more flexible pages. A thinner page option and a semi-gloss or semi-matt finish would be welcome.

Overall a good quality book, although the feel wasn’t quite what I had in mind.

Quick and high quality

Very happy with both the quality of the photo and the quick service (3 days from order to delivery) especially after experiencing so much difficulty and delay with other online orders in Germany. Great experience with Saal. Placing another order today. 🤗

I ordered an acrylic photo print, and the result is absolutely perfect! The order tracking was excellent, and delivery was super fast. What more could you ask for!

Was very happy with my experience with Saal Digital EU. They have super helpful customer service. Easy to use online tools to create the book you want. I made a slight mistake - ordered 'heavy' paper although it wasn't really necessary. So I regret that choice. But otherwise the book I created turned out beautifully.

Quality af photobooks really good and with both my orders, it was delivered several days before expected! Very happy I chose Saal and will for sure chose them again for future photos products.

Printing was fairly quick and paper quality is exactly as described on the website. Although they promise 2-3 days ready print the actual delay was more around 5 days. But considering that the order was 30 different postcards it is still very fair.
One of the 30 postcards was missing in the final delivery, even though it appeared in the "contact sheet" in the delivery itself.

Easy to make, at first a bit confusing. I like that we can choose to make it ourselves or let the website do it.

Above all excellent print quality, far better than other print services I have used in the past.
Also: Fast service, helpful responses to questions and a very good app for designing photo-books.

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.

I wasn't new to premium photo books when I placed this order. I've created several high-end photo books in the past with another provider, and they looked and felt like professionally published coffee table books. Since I now needed a company that prints within Europe, I decided to try Saal based on its excellent reputation.

My first photo book cost around €150 and was intended as a gift. Unfortunately, it arrived with severely warped pages. Customer service initially attributed the issue to humidity, but after keeping the book in a dry environment for several days, nothing changed.

They agreed to provide a replacement, but the problems only got worse. When I reordered the exact same project, more than 15 photos that had previously been uploaded and successfully printed had mysteriously disappeared from the Saal platform. Their software had somehow lost them, leaving blank pages in the album.

I contacted customer service almost immediately after placing the order and asked them to cancel it, explaining that the album was incomplete because of a problem with their platform. They refused, saying the order could not be cancelled, even though they knew it would be printed with missing images.

The replacement album arrived exactly as expected: with blank pages. I had also switched from Silk Photo Paper to Glossy Photo Paper, hoping to avoid the warping issue, but I found the glossy paper to look and feel plasticky and much lower quality than I expected from a premium photo book.

To make matters worse, I was told I would receive a voucher so I could correct the project and order it again, but I never received it.

I understand that manufacturing issues can happen. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. Instead of resolving one problem, each step created another, and after multiple emails I was left with two unusable photo books and no real solution.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Saal.

Easy to create an album, very efficient service, and an amazing end product. I would highly recommend Saal Digital.

The products and the value for money are great.
After receiving a product with a slight defect, the complaint was handled fast and in a helpful manner, and a new product was shipped very fast.

I paid a crazy price for express shipping for a gift for a special occasion and I'm still waiting for my order after not only the express shipping date has passed, but also the standard shipping date. Do not recommend using Saal at all.
ETA: My order finally arrived and it was printed incorrectly, to make matters even worse. None of the text elements in our photo album were printed - there are big empty gaps instead.

I was truly impressed! The quality is outstanding, and both the order processing and delivery were incredibly fast. Everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much!

I use the services of SAAL for some time and I am totally satisfied with the professionalism, either producing your order, either shipping and delievering!
I already order some photobooks and photo prints (in paper and in metal).
The results are excellent. One only remark: the pricing is allways changing, due to the discounts that are temporaly applied.
