Good but overrated
Good but overrated. I’ve been subject to variable cabins in business/first, multiple delays causing missed connections, irritating music during boarding and an extremely irritating safety demonstration video. Staff is nice and attentive but not as slick as emirates.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience.
My flight was cancelled, but I never received any email, SMS, or any notification before arriving at Helsinki Airport. I completed check-in, dropped off my baggage, passed security, and no one informed me that my flight had been cancelled.
Around two hours before departure, I went to the gate, where I was told to wait for the flight supervisor. A staff member took my passport and said they would search for an alternative flight. After waiting for about another 30 minutes, another staff member simply told me that I could not travel, that my baggage had been unloaded, and that I should collect it and leave the airport.
I do not speak English well, so I was unable to understand my options or ask whether I could be rerouted through another destination. I felt completely lost and unsupported.
Although my ticket is being refunded, the refund does not compensate me for the €200 I spent on a taxi from my city to Helsinki Airport, the hours I lost at the airport, or the stress and emotional distress I experienced. A simple email or message before I left home could have prevented all of this.
I expected much better communication and care from Qatar Airways. This was my first and last time flying with Qatar Airways, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend this airline to others.
I am extremely disappointed with Qatar…
I am extremely disappointed with Qatar Airways and, unfortunately, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had with an airline.
I had booked a return trip from Düsseldorf (Germany) to Bangkok and back to Düsseldorf on a single booking. Three days before my return flight, Qatar Airways cancelled my original flight back to Düsseldorf. I immediately contacted the airline from Germany and requested to be rebooked to my original destination. My requests were simply ignored.
While I was in Thailand, I finally managed to contact Qatar Airways again. The only alternative they offered was a flight to Frankfurt instead of Düsseldorf. I clearly informed Qatar Airways in writing that I would only accept this option to ensure that I could return home to Germany. I also explicitly stated that I would claim the additional travel costs because no onward transportation to Düsseldorf was offered.
After arriving in Frankfurt, I had to purchase train tickets at my own expense to reach my original destination. Despite providing all receipts and explaining the situation in detail, Qatar Airways repeatedly responded with standard template emails instead of addressing my actual complaint.
What disappointed me the most was not only the financial loss, but the complete lack of customer care. At no point did Qatar Airways seriously consider my individual case. Every response referred only to legal arguments without acknowledging that I had tried to resolve the issue long before my journey and had accepted the rerouting solely to secure my return home.
A premium airline should be judged not only by its onboard service but also by how it treats its customers when something goes wrong. In my case, Qatar Airways failed completely.
For the sake of approximately €300, Qatar Airways has lost me as a customer forever.
I will never fly with Qatar Airways again, and based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this airline to anyone. There are many other airlines that value customer service far more than Qatar Airways demonstrated in my case.
Horrible .

don’t know how to handle problems.. communication very poor .. staff not professional .
Withholding Refunds
Flight was cancelled staying "We're rebuilding our network, and significantly increasing our destinations" which is a wild thing to say to someone who's honeymoon youve cancelled. Customer service agent then said "to clairfy, we haven't cancelled youre honeymoon we've cancelled your flight" which is so ridiculous.
Flight cancelled in April, still waiting on a refund in July as my account i paid from is now closed. To refund to a new account is a ridiculously long winded process with emails moving at the pace of a snail in wet concrete. This airline is impossible to deal with and I will never ever be booking with them again. Flights rebooked through BA while qatar keep my 2.3THOUSAND POUNDS.
Worst customer service
Qatar airways has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Me and my 3 year old son was denied boarding in 2025 for unnecessary reasons on incorrectly interpreting temper tantrums to signs of medical emergency. Even though I raised a formal complaint through their customer service, they did not take any actions so far. I had an emotional trauma as I was travelling alone with my child and never expected this would happen. Also, it was a long flight journey which eventually cost me extra pounds to take the ticket again the next day.
They canceled the flight
They canceled the flight, we have to pay cancelation fee!
We got the notice on 22th of July that our flight on 19th of December is canceled. Not clear what is the reason. But I cannot understand why I have to pay a cancelation fee. This is totally ridiculous!
No Qatar!
Disappointing
We flew business class on Zurich-Doha and economy class on Dubai-Zurich. The difference in the quality of service provided was just abysmal... Business class was absolutely the best experience we've had in business: very comfortable leather seats, personalised service on-board by staff, superb meals, etc... The economy class was extremely disappointing and probably one of the worst experienced: narrow and uncomfortable seats, the staff don't come when you ring them from your seat, poor choice of entertainment and we had only one meal (for a 7 hour flight) that was a disgusting breakfast. Not sure but I would call this experience a "social discrimination "...

Don’t join the privilege club I made the mistake of joining, there is no way to cancel your subscription. I joined last year, but due to changing circumstances wanted to cancel this year. There is no way to cancel on the website or app. I contacted support numerous times and keep getting fobbed of my AI or incompetent support. Saying ‘go to the my subscription tab and select cancel.’ There is no such tab on their website or app. I’m £1000 down and very frustrated!

Misleading Transit Information – My 14-Hour Doha Stopover Was Ruined
I chose Qatar Airways specifically because I wanted to explore Doha during my 14-hour transit.
Before travelling, I contacted Qatar Airways by email and was told to visit the Discover Qatar Transit Desk upon arrival to obtain a transit visa.
Based on that advice, I intentionally booked a long layover instead of a shorter connection.
After arriving at Hamad International Airport, I was sent from one counter to another for nearly an hour before being told to speak with a senior immigration officer. The officer simply told me that he could not issue me a transit visa. No reason was provided.
I hold a valid UK residence permit, had a confirmed onward Qatar Airways ticket, and met the transit requirements I had been advised about before travelling.
What disappointed me most was the lack of transparency. Airport staff told me that the policy for some nationalities had changed, yet this was not clearly communicated before travel. If that is true, why are passengers still being encouraged to plan stopovers?
If some passengers are unlikely to be permitted to enter Qatar during transit, Qatar Airways should clearly state this before people buy tickets and plan their journeys.
I have travelled with Emirates, Etihad and Turkish Airlines and have never experienced this level of confusion or uncertainty.
This review is not about being refused entry. Every country has that right. It is about providing passengers with clear, accurate and consistent information before they spend their money and make travel plans.
I hope Qatar Airways reviews its communication so that other travellers do not go through the same experience.
Came from Doha to Dublin on 19th July
Came from Doha to Dublin on 19th July. Aircraft was really hot through the journey. Flight attendants were rude (looking down on us I was with my two young daughters, we’re African). She skipped asking my daughter for drink despite her clearly awake and in the inside seat. I have to call her back, they don’t even aknlowedge a thank you from me couple of times. Near landing they asked us to put the tray up without collecting the horrible juice they served before landing, I had to open a bottle to empty the plastic cup before it spill with landing. Never had such bad treatment on a flight before. Good thing is takeoff and landing were smooth.ast thing seats are really really tight and cramped together.
Stranded in Frankfurt by the “World’s best airline" :(
Stranded in Frankfurt by the “World’s Best Airline”
On 27 March 2026, my spouse and I were left stranded at Frankfurt Airport after Qatar Airways rebooked our return flight to Copenhagen, without arranging any onward transport to get us to our final destination. Under EU law, airlines are obligated to re-route passengers in this situation – Qatar Airways did not. We had no choice but to pay for new flight tickets ourselves to get home.
We contacted Qatar Airways with full documentation and a formal request for reimbursement, but didn’t get any response from Qatar Airways at all !!!
It’s disappointing to experience this kind of treatment from an airline that markets itself so heavily as the “World’s Best Airline.” Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Qatar Airways and would think twice before booking with them again.
Still waiting on a refund 5 months later
Still waiting on a refund for cancelled flight 5 months later. Have called Qatar over 5 times and no progress. They make it incredibly difficult to access the booking details as i have to provide - name, email, phone number, booking date and as it was booked by ATS I don’t know which email or number was used for the booking.
Impossible refund
My flight got cancelled and I requested a refund. I’ve been waiting over two months and calling them every week asking what’s the situation but every single time they tell me they just escalated the situation to the proper team. Their own policy states that they complete the refund within 28 days. I find this outrageous.
Customer Service
Cancelled & refunded a flight from EU, without any option to rebook or reroute, causing for frustration and additional costs via alternative airlines.
Disappointed by the way they handled my case, simply rejecting all requests for compensation and support (not even the phone bill, holding for 2hrs)
Working a scam here
Working a scam here , cancel flight , offer to cancel , take it up , full total showing then send much smaller amount to credit card . Underhand in the extreme .
I have been waiting for my refund for over 5 months
I have been waiting for my refund for over 5 months now . I requested a refund from them due to the war in March but till now l am still waiting. Their excuse is that they are waiting on the airline however l contacted Qatar airways to find out what the hold up is they said they have given the agent the refund they even gave me the refund voucher sent to flight catchers. This is becoming more stressful and affecting my mental health.
Never Qatar Airways
I booked a flight from Berlin to Islamabad with Qatar Airways via lastminute.com. At the airport, I was denied boarding despite having a valid German passport and a valid multiple-entry visa for Pakistan. The ticket went unused. The following day, I was able to travel to Pakistan without any issues using a newly purchased ticket. Since then, I have been passed back and forth between lastminute.com and Qatar Airways without receiving a satisfactory resolution. I recommend carefully checking how such cases are handled before booking.
Not trustworthy at all stolen air miles
Not trustworthy at all, in May 2026 I received a email stating that I had changed my mobile number and email address. This was obviously fraud so I called Qatar within 10 minutes and blocked this. Last month I wanted to book a flight using my airmiles and I noticed my air miles were gone. According to my statement the airmiles were used to book a international flight a week after I reported and blocked the attempted hack. 1 month later no refund of air miles or feedback.
