8 tips for writing great customer reviews

Trustpilot is committed to transparency. Read the Transparency Report 2022.

Detailed, constructive and polite feedback in reviews is valuable input for our online review community, including the businesses reviewed.
We do have rules about what should and shouldn't be included when you write a review on Trustpilot, but to get you started, here's an infographic that summarizes the main points:

 Provide useful, constructive feedback

A good review includes enough detail to give others a feel for what happened. Explain which factors contributed to your positive, negative or just so-so experience. You might also offer your view on what the company is doing well, and how they can improve. But keep things friendly and courteous!
Here are two examples that consumers and the reviewed company might find useful:

Quick and easy to deal with

I'm happy with the phone and the deal I got from the company. I wanted a good smartphone that did the basics, and the site recommended one that ticked all the boxes. Speaking with the service team helped me get exactly what I was looking for.
The only reason not to give 5 stars is the fact that I had to separately claim for the offered cash back deal, rather than it being automatic, and this info wasn't stated anywhere.

Huge let down in service

I ordered a case of dessert wine for a New Years party. Despite using the holiday delivery schedule on their site, not only did nothing turn up in time, but it took nearly a week and three separate customer service inquiries to get an explanation from the company about what had happened. Eventually I got short email stating they'd taken my money despite not having the item in stock! The shop then took another nine days to process my refund.
The company should adjust their system to let people know whether items are in stock or not so they don't create false expectations that goods will arrive on time. There should also be a shorter processing time for refunds and better customer service.

LOCALBITCOINS IS THE WORST COMPANY I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE

I had experienced the worst nightmare in my life with this company. They are just holding all the bitcoins I had in my account, and refuse to return them. You are scamming people and playing with all of us by sending emails that say you have nothing to do. You can´t just run out and leave our hands crossed and empty.

would 5/5 but they took 3 years to release the iOS app and now they wind down.... could be one of the top but they didn't have the resources (?) and determination to cope with Paxful and new upcoming exchanges..

since 2018, i have provided everything you requested from me. Pls give me my coins

sometimes around 2018, i transferred 0.08plus coins from my Blockchain wallet to my localbitcoin wallet.
My LBC account got banned, they asked to do some verification but as at the time, i had already relocated to Australia.
i do not have my UK D/L with me in Australia, when i heard the news of closing down, i contacted them for my coins, they still asking for my DL.
I traveled down to UK this week, to get my ID and the rest.
I sent it over to them with no issue, after they found nothing to complain about, they told me to do liveliness test, which i did and passed it.

Then i got a message in my email from them that i can withdraw my coins, almost 2,000GBP, but to my greatest SURPRISED, they had already logged my account out on web and they wont let me in again, by not sending me link to log in. if i cant log in, i cant complain to the support anymore.

why are holding my coins, the coins is not from LBC, i made a transferred from my Blockchain.
Sometimes i get this message from the web, something like my profile cannot be found.

I pasted the new message in my email from LBC few seconds before my account stopped working below:
