Disappointing Experience – Misleading Product and Poor Customer Service

I recently purchased the Blue Ice Fermented Skate Liver Oil and Fermented Cod Liver Oil from Gezondheid aan Huis, and I am extremely disappointed. One of the bottles I received had an expired date, and instead of providing a new, fresh product, they had put a new label on the package with a different expiration date. This is not only misleading but also concerning, given how fragile and sensitive these oils are—it could potentially be dangerous to consume.

This issue was not mentioned on the website, which makes it even more frustrating. If I had known about this, I certainly would not have made the purchase. When I contacted customer service, their response was to simply send the package back and an excuse regarding the expiration date. I also found it unfair that I was asked to return the package at my own expense, especially when it was their misleading information that led to this problem in the first place.

Despite my attempts to address the issue, including asking for reimbursement of postal costs, the company ignored my requests. It’s clear that Gezondheid aan Huis lacks a customer-focused approach and proper service. I won't be shopping here again and would strongly advise others to be cautious.

I have repeatedly ordered from Gezondheid ann huis BV over the past two years and never had a negative experience until last week. Hermes attempted to deliver my package but I wasn't home. Hermes sent the package back. I sent a message to Gezondheid ann huis BV expressing my disappointment in HERMES. They immediately responded positively and without further questions resent the package at no additional cost. This is great customer seervice. Another eason why I will continue to buy at Gezondheid ann huis BV!

Great experience and great shop for NL/BE customers. I've ordered 4-5 times already, and despite initial shipping delays, I haven't been disappointed.

What stands out:
+ A very good selection. They'll have nearly everything you need on a basic level. You can definitely find it there.
+ Service and communication is strong. They reply immediately and help solve any issue.
+ In most cases, shipping is super quick. From the Gezondheid Aan Huis perspective, they ship it out their warehouse very very quick.
+ Prices are also quite reasonable. For most items it's very cheap.

What is a bit less:
– Website is a bit outdated and lacks functionality. They have so much choice, but nearly no options to filter effectively. So you might get 4800+ results when searching, but you can barely filter on it.
– They have a huge inventory/stock of local (NL/BE) brands, but sometimes I feel like they lack some diversity (some people will roll their eyes, but it's true). Example: They rarely have anything from Nordic Naturals available, which is arguably the #1 brand in terms of Omega 3's.. but they have tons of local brands.
– More traditional attitude. As a young professional, I'm looking for products that will keep my brain young and focused. There are many, many up and coming brands that are focusing on this space. However, I don't see this reflected in the selection from Gezondheidaanhuis.

The store has many good products but unfortunately they switched to Klarna for payments and Klarna is a mess. So beware don't pay by Klarna. Until they drop Klarna they have lost a customer.
