Buy Your Next Home with Confidence
e.surv Chartered Surveyors provides RICS home surveys, homebuyer reports, property valuations and residential surveying services throughout the UK. Our HomePlus Digital Home Survey, unique to e.surv, gives homebuyers a detailed, interactive assessment of a property's condition, helping identify potential issues before exchange and completion. FAQ: What is a HomePlus Survey?
HomePlus is e.surv's exclusive Digital Home Survey and is equivalent to a standard RICS Level 2 Survey. It includes all the core property condition information provided in a traditional Level 2 Survey, plus additional benefits such as an interactive digital report, detailed photography, repair and maintenance guidance, energy efficiency insights and local area information. HomePlus helps homebuyers better understand a property's condition before they commit to a purchase.
FAQ: Is HomePlus the same as a RICS Level 2 Survey?
HomePlus includes the core information of a standard RICS Level 2 Survey, but enhances the experience with interactive photographs, digital navigation, energy efficiency information, repair guidance and local area insights to help buyers better understand the property before purchase.
FAQ: Can I book a survey online?
Yes. Customers can receive a quote, book and pay for a HomePlus survey online through the e.surv website, creating a faster and more convenient experience.
FAQ: Are e.surv surveyors RICS qualified?
Yes. e.surv works with a nationwide network of more than 600 RICS-registered surveyors. All surveys are completed in accordance with RICS professional standards, providing customers with confidence in the quality and consistency of the advice they receive.
FAQ: Do I need a survey when buying a house?
A home survey helps identify defects, maintenance issues and potential repair costs that may not be visible during a viewing. A professional property survey gives homebuyers a clearer understanding of a property's condition and can help avoid unexpected costs after moving in.
FAQ: What areas does e.surv cover?
e.surv provides residential surveying and valuation services throughout England and Wales, through a nationwide network of local surveyors.
FAQ: How long does a home survey take?
The time required depends on the size, age and condition of the property. Once your survey has been booked, your surveyor will arrange the inspection and your report will be issued after the property visit has been completed.
FAQ: What is the difference between a Level 2 and Level 3 Survey?
A RICS Level 2 Survey is typically suitable for conventional properties that appear to be in reasonable condition. A RICS Level 3 Survey provides a more detailed inspection and is often recommended for older properties, unusual construction types, properties that have been significantly altered or homes requiring renovation.
FAQ: Can a survey help me negotiate the purchase price?
Yes. A property survey may identify defects or issues that could affect the property's value or require future repairs. Buyers often use survey findings to negotiate with sellers or budget for future maintenance costs.

Perfect experience

Perfect experience.

Paid for the level 2 survery on our house purchase. We had such a quick turnaround from booking, completing the survey and getting the report. We had a call prior to the inspection asking us if we were looking for any specific details within the property which i thought was a nice touch. The report then came back the day after and had good detail and followed up with phone call from Matthew who was very professional and knowledgable about the visit.

Would highly recommend for piece of mind before a purchase!

Many thanks!

Quick and competitive survey via the internet

We inquired about getting a tier 2 survey on the internet and received many quotations. Soon after we received a phone call from e.surv with the offer of a reduction from a very helpful gentleman. We accepted the offer and things proceeded rapidly. Within hours of the report we received a call from the surveyor. He was very kind and patient and explained very clearly all our queries. We are very happy with the whole process and would have no hesitation in recommending e.surv. Another observation. We had a survey done on a different property. The surveyor was recommended by an estate agent. The report was inferior and cost much more !

Meticulous Level 2 Survey - David Collins

David Collins came across as a very experienced surveyor. He did a thorough inspection and his survey was very helpful in lowering the price with the seller. He was also very helpful in explaining his findings in detail for better understanding. He was also quite flexible and gave me a lot of time for my questions till I was satisfied. I would highly recommend esurv and David.

Excellent service Highly recommend

The survey was completed seamlessly and was carried out within a couple of days of making contact.
The survey itself was very comprehensive and worth every penny (homebuyers survey).
The surveyor contacted me to discuss the findings and the conversation was extremely helpful to me. I can highly recommend this.

Ellison was very thorough

Ellison was very thorough and offered a professional opinion and some useful advice on the flat he surveyed for us.
I was able to walk through the property with him and highlight my areas of concern which he then took into account in his report.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with e.surv. Our property had an agreed sale price of £245,000, but after a brief 20-minute valuation, e.surv valued it at £225,000. The buyer then withdrew, causing us to lose the sale.

We have received no clear explanation of how the figure was reached or which comparable properties were used. The valuation appears inconsistent with the property, the agreed offer and the local market.

A £20,000 difference is significant, and the lack of transparency has been extremely frustrating. I would not recommend e.surv based on this experience.

I’ve recently had a home buyers survey…

I’ve recently had a home buyers survey conducted on a prospective property for myself and my partner. Our surveyor, Delicia talked us through beforehand what she is on the lookout for and the possible outcomes prior to the inspection taking place. We were kept updated with when the survey would take place and when to expect the report. We received the report in a timely manner and Delicia gave us a follow up phone call to answer all of our questions and offer her professional advice and suggestions going forward. We couldn’t be more thankful to her for making what is deemed a “stressful process” so easy. Highly recommended

Quick, responsive and thorough

The survey was arranged quickly and very competitive rates. The report was thorough and showed up many faults not always visible on a viewing. Not the result we hoped for,but it told us what we needed to know about the property.

Homebuyer survey - excellent service!

I had a homebuyer survey completed last week and found the overall service very efficient, with excellent customer service and communication throughout. Adrian Graham was my surveyor and he had the report ready by the end of the same day the survey was completed. Adrian also followed up with a phone call to run through the findings and to make sure I understood everything. Excellent service throughout and I would totally recommend.
