The cushion covers ordered were of very poor quality. I therefore sought to return them per the terms and conditions. To do this, I needed the return approved by A&L and a return authorisation number. My request for these set off a series of emails, first requesting details of the quality issues and then photos. A&Ls most recent email offered a 40% refund and an offer to retain the unwanted covers. I made a time limited counter offer given the cost of returning the goods to China by post. The deadline is long past and no response has been made.
DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS ENTITY.

STOP! Don't Do It!
STOP! If you’re thinking of ordering from this company DON’T DO IT! To avoid any confusion this review refers specially to the website of Alder & Bloom London (all the reviews on Trustpilot for ‘Alderandloom’ seem to refer to more or less the same company - although it took me awhile to make that connection).
As far as I can determine this isn’t a genuine company. It might look like the real deal – after all, it has a nice flash website, seems to be a bona fide London-based clothing company, has a reassuring photo of its husband-and-wife founders (“Oliver and Charlotte”), and even includes five-star reviews from highly satisfied customers (“Trusted by thousands across the UK” or so their website claims). Don’t believe a word of it - the whole thing is bogus as I can attest through personal experience.
I first became aware of this company after seeing it advertised on Instagram. Not one to order directly via Instagram I did my ‘due diligence’ and confirmed that this company had an online presence and a professional looking website. In what I can only describe retrospectively as a moment of stupidity I placed an order for five shirts, total cost nearly £150. What can I say? It was summer, I was going on holiday in several weeks’ time, and I felt I’d given myself plenty of time to order direct from a London-based company, try the shirts on for size, and return any items as needed (after all, the items shipped free of charge across the UK and the website provided an email address for the Alder & Bloom support team for assistance with the returns process).
The first red flag was that the items shipped directly from China which isn’t mentioned anywhere on the website. The advertised “standard delivery time [of] 5 and 8 business days” turned out to be an optimistic guesstimate. Instead, one part of the shipment turned up the day before I was due to go on holiday, and the second part arrived the following week (ie. three weeks after I’d originally placed the order). One look at the enclosed garments and it very quickly became apparent that the whole thing was a joke (although not one I found particularly humorous). The shirts were extremely poorly made and looked nothing like the clothing advertised on their website. I immediately contacted Alder & Bloom, explained my disappointment with the quality of the items sent, and asked to initiate the returns process.
I can’t fault the politeness and responsiveness of the Alder & Bloom support team … up to a point. Apologetic and helpful in equal measure, I now suspect I was probably chatting to a chatbot all along. I was initially advised that I could keep the shirts and offered a “15% partial refund as a goodwill gesture”; seeing this amounted to less than the price of one of the five shirts I’d ordered, I declined this offer and indicated that I’d prefer to return the shirts for a full refund. Following their precise instructions – “please declare the parcel value as under £19/$19 to avoid customs issues” – I subsequently returned the parcel at my own expense (£36.90) and received confirmation in due course that it had been delivered to the address in China.
Up to this point all my emails to the Alder & Bloom Support Team had been answered within 24 hours. Surprise, surprise, as soon as I confirmed that I had returned the parcel all further communication from Alder & Bloom dried up instantaneously. My subsequent four emails asking for confirmation for when my refund would be issued all went unaddressed. I kept my calm throughout, but in my last email to Alder & Bloom I did state clearly that I was now treating the whole transaction as fraudulent. At the very least, I thought that might have provoked a response, but alas, the Alder & Bloom Support Team had suddenly become very unsupportive indeed.
The moral of this review is DON’T order from this company,
I’d paid for these shirts with my debit card, but have now disputed this transaction via my banking app. The full cost of my original transaction was refunded to my account almost immediately and my bank informed me that they had contacted Alder & Bloom directly and they had been given notice that they had 30 days to respond if they wanted to raise a counterclaim. I am currently waiting for further updates …

The company has poor customer service…
The company has poor customer service and the quality is cheap. The website portrays this as a British business. It couldn’t be further from the truth. All made in china and if you need to do a return you have to pay for the shipping costs back to china ! Advice would be …. Don’t waste your money 💰… someone somewhere in the Netherlands is creaming
off us poor brits!
Terrible scammers - Alder & Loom
Terrible scammers, not sure why people like this are allowed to trade in the UK. They advertise a cotton shirt with a pricetag of £45 and deliver a rubbish, plastic like thin shirt material not even worth £1. They do not reply to emails. Do not use these scammers, will make sure I tell people on Facebook not to buy from these crooks.

Complete and utter rubbish
Complete and utter rubbish. The company, the service, the product. Had the same experiences as other reviewers. Waited 4 weeks for a partial refund, threatened reporting to BBC watchdog..refund appeared within 24 hours. The product (shirt ? No) is now residing in my car cleaning materials bucket. DO NOT USE THEM
"CAVEAT EMPTOR" BUYER BEWARE
Awful quality - tried to return for full refund. Told had to return to China!! Offered 15% refund and keep product!
They told me they hadn't a place to return shirt to in England despite indicating on website that they are a shop based in London. Don't touch this company. No refund received.
Similar experience to ther reviews
Similar experience to other reviews. Only one mat arrived. Poor tracking info. Would not use again.
Absolutely disgusting quality
Absolutely disgusting quality, my husband bought 2 shirts, they were nothing like they were described, I emailed them and they said I could return them, but to China? Or they would give me a measly 15% back, obviously I’m not sending them back to China, but still waiting for the so called 15% back! I know I won’t get it though! They are an absolute con, beware!
Goods were nothing like their advert

Cheap material!
Said they were from London - nope.
Took around 2 weeks for a jumper to arrive.
Very reluctant to refund.
No Star
If there was a minus score, I would be using that.
Contents, a mat was folded in 4 and never flattened out. Awful quality, they said it wasn't faulty and now they won't answer emails and tell you if you keep sending emails without them replying, they will put you at bottom of pile - definitely not fit for purpose, very expensive for quality and terrible company to deal with. Still waiting for response after 6th request. All the reviews are the same, its no wonder it has a 1* rating. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Avoid like the Plague.
If I could give this NO stars I would.
If I could give this NO stars I would.
My husband ordered five shirts, one long sleeve and four short sleeved shirts.
They are NOT as described
They are badly made, material is more like a working uniform material. The colours are one dimensional not washed cotton.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Despite stating they are a London based company these are do badly made and dispatched from China.
On the website it was stated that they would be dispatched within five to seven days. On this premise, shirts ordered in good time for holiday.
As holiday got closer the shirts were nowhere to be seen. Contacted company as concerned about delays, we were reassured they are all on the way in one batch...they arrived in two batches. Unsatisfactory.
I cannot emphasise enough. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Absolute con job. RIP off merchants.
Ordered online. The shirts looked lovely, textured fabric. Thought I was ordering from a UK firm. Took weeks for the shirts to arrive and they were the cheapest shite shirts ever, screen printed nylon, zero texture as shown online. They then argued about the returns process saying I have to pay the postage though UK Distance Selling regulations say they have to if the goods aren’t as described. Now having to take it up with my credit card company to claim it back. Oh, all the support emails are from China and the return address is in China.

This company conning people
Don't buy from this company they are conning people. I bought a jacket decribed as leather materia for £47, received item and it wasn't leather material just cheap polyester and elastane worth no more than £5. I am in the process of requesting a refund
DO NOT ORDER
DO NOT ORDER. I thought I was buying a high end designer door mat for £72 what I received was embarrassing. Item came from China, I have since found the same one for £4 on a well known Chinese website. They were not forthcoming with a refund, I had to refer them back to their terms and conditions and even then, they tried to offer me a 40% refund. I had to settle for a 70% refund in the end as the cost to return to China would have been on me.
I wish I could post pictures here to show you the mess I received.
