The inspector did a good job taking photos of the vehicle.
But I believe I missed the mechanics phone call, because a random unofficial looking number called me and didn't leave a message, I get alot of scam phone calls, so having a random number call isn't great. Redbook inspections should give there mechanics an easy to identify official mobile number, so that when they call people, it does not look like a spam phone call.
If the mechanic is unable to reach the seller or buyer of a car they should also send a text message to say that they tried calling and couldn't contact you.

This is the second time I have gotten a red book inspection now, for both the inspections both times there was the message for the drive test saying: Limited road test due to local speed limits, road conditions and/or traffic at the time.
The last vehicle that I got inspected was out in a country town and the weather was fine.
And now the second vehicle I have gotten redbook to inspect has the same message.
Part of the reason why I paid over $300 for a red book inspection was to have the car properly tested, not have a limited road test.
Also the fact the mechanic hasn't tried or did try calling me and didn't leave a message, further puts me off using redbooks in future.
I cannot recommend redbooks to anyone for this reason.

The inspection of the engine was very thourough. Thought the other parts were a bit lapsidasical, I specifically requested that the service books were looked at, this wasnt covered. I think also the inspection should include checking air conditioning and state what condition the tyres are in.

Prompt inspection, very happy with the detail in the report, and included pictures, very helpful follow-up call with the inspector.

Highly recommend, especially for interstate car purchases. Good company which I have used twice in the last month. Vehicle inspection was done promptly. I paid for the standard inspection that was thorough and the mechanic that rang me was polite and helpful.

Joe attended an inspection on 20th of July in Bruce (ACT) and I have to confess that he did a super test which was extrenely thorough, in-detail and caring!

They charge extra for classic vehicles but the inspector only had average knowledge of the car model. It's not like it's even a rare vehicle. Happy to just get it over with. Just a bit of false advertising.
