Hamata is a great spot to learn kitesurfing. Super easy spot

It was a very well all inclusive experience, everything went very smoothly. Only critic but not linked to surfbude is that the "Condor" airline is really a cheap one, on a 5 hrs flight they dod not even provide you with a glas of water.

What an awesome camp! Coaches and staff are great and really kind people, the food on the boat is probably the best around and the kite location is perfect for beginners!

Was soll ich sagen? Es war die Zeit meines Lebens. Ich habe mein Herz an den Kite-Sport verloren und wirklich die genialste Zeit meines Lebens auf Sizilien verbracht. Die Kiteschule von Adrienn und Gabor überzeugt einfach durch Professionalität, Wissen, Spaß, Warmherzigkeit und dem kontinuierlichen Blick auf das Thema Sicherheit. Die Kitelehrer Beau und Paulina sind wirklich richtig gut. Sie bringen Dir den Sport auf eine professionelle Art und Weise bei, lassen dabei allerdings nie den Spaß aus den Augen. Mit ihrer spürbaren Begeisterung am Kite-Sport stecken sie Dich einfach an. Meine Erwartungen an das was ich nach einer Woche können wollte wurden übertroffen. Das hat mich natürlich riesig gefreut. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen einen Kurs hier zu buchen. Sollte es einmal keinen Wind geben, gibt es genug andere Sachen, die man unternehmen kann. Adrienn organisiert einmal die Woche ein super geniales traditionelles italienisches Abendessen, mit Live-Musik. Unbedingt mitgehen! Sie und ihr Mann Gabor gehören zu den warmherzigsten, offensten und lustigsten Menschen, die ich je getroffen habe. Als Alleinreisende habe ich mich hier sofort zugehörig gefühlt. Ein kleiner Tipp: Am Tag der Anreise schon einmal am Spot vorbeischauen. Sollte gutes Wetter sein und ein Trainer frei sein, hat man schon einmal einen Tag kiten sicher. Der Spot hat eine tolle Lage. Es gibt Essen, Trinken und die Möglichkeit auf die Toilette zu gehen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Die Materialien der Schule sind Top. Safety first wird hier einfach gelebt und dies hat mir auch ein Gefühl der Sicherheit gegeben. Die Lagune ist perfekt für Einsteiger und Fortgeschrittene. Es gibt keine fiesen Seeigel oder andere Viecher. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen, da ich Sizilien und das tolle Team der Kiteschule Torre Loopa jetzt schon schrecklich vermisse!! 

What can I say? I had the time of my life. I lost my heart and soul to kitesurfing and experienced the most amazing time of my life on the island Sicily. Adrienn and Gabors Kiteschool meets many expectations I am looking for, when looking at kite schools.They are very professional, have a lot of experience and knowledge, always put the customer and fun first, while they never loose the sight on safety. Last but not least: they care! Their current kite instructors Beau and Paulina are great instructors. They teach you with in a very professional way, but always put the fun first. They are so excited about their hobby, that they pass on that excitement. My expectations towards what I can learn within that workweek were even excelled. I am highly recommending to book your kite course with them. If you have bad weather or no wind days, there are many, many great things you can do instead. Once a week Adrienn organizes a really great traditional italian dinner with live music. Joint hat dinner! Adrienn and her husband Gabor are some oft he most caring, open-minded and funny people I have been able to meet. I was traveling alone and felt like part oft he Torre Loopa Kite-Family from second one. One tip: On the day of your arrival. drive to the lagoon and check out the Kite-School-Spot. If the weather is good and they have an instructor available, you will have one secure day of kitesurfing. The spot is in a great location. You have foods, drinks and rest rooms near by. All the materials used by their school are top quality. They do live the slogan safety first, which always made me feel secure and made me trust them „blindly“. The lagoon is great for beginners and more experienced riders. There are no scary sea urchins or other creatures under water. I am defenitly coming back. I already miss Sicily and the Torre Loope Kite-School-Team like crazy!

Super Organisation, toller Spot, Wind OK, chillige Atmosphäre....

Together with my Boyfriend we found the resort through the recomandation of SURFBUDE.de

The resort is perfact for kite or windsurf holiday's as it offers a huge flat water lagoon right at its front door.
The spot has plenty and safe wind (check with wind finder) and even during Srilankas rain season not a single drop of rain falls in this specific area in the summer month.
Especially amazing during our stay in June we had stable wind between 20 to 30 knots EVERY day from morning to evening
Wind is SIDE SHORE plus an additional off shore spot furhter down the lagoon ideal for tricks and jumps where the water is even more flat.
Only downside, because of the sandy and shallow lagoon (so a lot of floting sand) the water has a more brown than blue colour but is quite clean in fact.

The Resort:
is under management from a Srilanken Windsurf Crack (ex pro rider) who lives in Austria and his family. Therefore they often have teachers from Europe, whole staff speaks good English and some even German.
This also results in a higher more European standard but still maintaining the natural style of the resort. It is an island paradise to relax not a 5 star all inclusive concrete bunker, with a very family like atmosphere and hand picked staff.
Really worth mentioning is the food. They cook very traditionally with the rich supply of fruits fish and spices the area offers. Very careful for cleanliness and hygiene so not only us but all guests there had no problems and it just tastes great after a long surfing day!
We recommend the deluxe cabanas for couples and families, normal rooms are more for back packers or as budget alternative for nature enthusiasts the hammock (it is warm enough most of the year)
Only downside, we would maybe not recommend it for couples of families where not all want to surf as there are not many alternative activities around.
What you could do is also use it as stop or base during a round trip of Srilanka to do some surfing in between. (ask the people from the resort they can also organize such trips for you).
