I have been working with this company for about five months without any issues. During this period, all of my books have been generating sales and royalties, and I never had any problems with my account or titles.

However, when it was time for me to receive my first-quarter royalties, my payment was suddenly withheld without any clear reason or prior explanation. I had to contact support myself, and I was then told that my account was under review. Shortly afterward, some of my titles were suspended, yet I was not given any proper explanation, evidence, or clarification regarding what exactly happened.

This is my first experience using this company, and unfortunately, it has been a very disappointing one. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I still have not received a reasonable explanation or a clear resolution. Whenever I contact support, I keep receiving what appears to be the same copy-and-paste response instead of a direct answer to my concerns.

I understand that companies may carry out account reviews, but customers deserve transparency and a proper explanation, especially when their earned royalties are being withheld. I simply want a clear explanation of what caused the review, why my titles were suspended, and when I can expect the royalties I have already earned to be paid

I am writing this review out of utter desperation, stress, and heartbreak after being pushed to the brink by StreetLib. As the founder of Prelanx Limited Liability Company, we entered into a partnership with StreetLib in good faith, investing our hard-earned capital upfront to pay our writers, editors, and platform subscriptions.

Despite fulfilling all our obligations and having our invoice formally approved for payment, StreetLib has withheld our funds and restricted our account without giving us a clear resolution timeline. To make matters worse, our catalog titles were unpublished without warning, and our permissions to approve subsequent cycle invoices have been administrative blocked with zero actionable guidance.

This isn't just a minor delay for a company; this is a small family-run business. My wife—who works alongside me in this business—is pregnant, and our family's basic daily survival, medical bills, and personal livelihood depend entirely on these earned payouts. Having our approved money frozen has buried us in overwhelming debt and caused severe emotional distress, leaving my family feeling completely helpless.

Every time we reach out, we receive generic responses stating our account is "under review" with no end date, no specifics, and no clear way to resolve it. We built our business on trust, but StreetLib's lack of transparency and refusal to disburse our approved earnings has severely damaged our business and our lives.

I am leaving this 1-star review in the hope that executive management will finally take responsibility, release our approved invoice funds, and give us the clarity and fairness we deserve.

I have been a publisher on StreetLib for some time now and I am deeply disappointed with how my account has been handled. What started as a promising publishing journey has turned into one of the most stressful and financially devastating experiences of my professional life.

Without any prior warning or specific evidence, my account was suddenly placed under investigation citing "anomalies" and "possible fraudulent activities." All my titles were immediately suspended from sale overnight. No specific evidence was ever presented to me. Not a single retail partner including Amazon, Kobo or Apple Books raised any complaint against my account. Yet StreetLib unilaterally decided to suspend everything and withhold my earnings.

What followed has been nearly two months of absolute silence, generic responses and zero resolution. Every time I contact their support team I receive the exact same copy and paste response telling me the review is ongoing with no timeline, no specific information and no path to resolution. I have escalated this matter directly to senior management and received no response whatsoever.

The impact this has had on me personally has been devastating. I have workers who dedicated their time and effort to this publishing work and have not been paid because of this situation. I have had to take on debt to cover basic obligations that should have been covered by my earned royalties. The sleepless nights, the anxiety of not knowing when or if my legitimately earned money will ever be released, the stress of managing a publishing business with no income coming in - it has been an incredibly difficult period that no publisher should ever have to go through.

What makes this even more painful is that StreetLib has already taken their own commission from the very earnings they are withholding from me. They had no problem collecting their share but have provided no justification for withholding mine.

I have always conducted myself professionally and cooperatively. I have responded to every communication, complied with every request and waited patiently for nearly two months. Yet here I am with no payment, no clear timeline, no specific explanation and no resolution in sight.

I genuinely hope StreetLib resolves this matter soon and I will update this review if they do. But until then I strongly advise any independent publisher to think very carefully before using StreetLib as their distribution platform especially if you are generating significant earnings. The risk of having your account frozen and your earnings withheld indefinitely with no explanation is very real and the emotional and financial toll it takes is something I would not wish on any fellow publisher.

I am currently experiencing a major issue with StreetLib regarding distribution to the Tolino network.

My books were published several weeks ago and are already live on Apple Books, which confirms that the files and metadata are correct.

However, none of my titles are available on Tolino partner stores, including Thalia, which is a key market for my German-language books.

I have contacted support multiple times over the past weeks and have not received a meaningful response or resolution—only automated replies.

This delay is directly affecting my ability to reach readers and generate sales in the German market.

At this point, I am simply asking for:
- A clear explanation of the issue
- Confirmation of whether my books were actually delivered to Tolino
- A timeline for resolution

I am an editor with extensive experience in publishing, currently managing a substantial catalogue of titles for international distribution. As part of evaluating potential partners, I reached out to StreetLib with genuine interest in establishing a collaboration.

While the customer service team was consistently polite, responsive, and quick to reply (which I truly appreciated), I did not receive the clear and unequivocal reassurance I was looking for. My wife was initially open to working with StreetLib, and at the outset everything went smoothly. StreetLib responded promptly and provided all the necessary information, which created a positive first impression.

However, this changed suddenly when she received an email welcoming her to the StreetLib Pro Plan. The issue is that she never registered for such a plan on their website.

While this was disappointing in itself, the fact that it was an unsolicited message prompted me to look more closely into the company before my wife invested any money, trust, or effort with them.

By chance, I also came across someone who has been experiencing serious issues with StreetLib for several months, including not being paid a substantial amount of earned royalties. According to this person, there are several others in the same situation, and they are reportedly preparing to take legal action against StreetLib in Italy soon.

Taken together, these circumstances raise a legitimate concern as to whether StreetLib may be experiencing financial difficulties.

We would advise others to exercise caution. My wife and I will certainly not be collaborating with StreetLib.

Let’s go straight to the core:

1. I publish the same books with them and other aggregators. Their sales consistently showed less than $50 for over 300 titles while others showed over one thousand a month. Can the lie related to their royalties be more obvious?

2. When I complained about the rude behaviors of the employees, the same employees made me sign an agreement for every single title uploaded. Not only are they racist, and discriminate the authors based on name and location, they made me quit by adding steps to my publishing process.

3. Their platform is horrible and it takes forever for your books to get approved.

Since late 2025 and continuing into early 2026, I have observed a consistent decline in StreetLib’s distribution performance, particularly for technical (engineering and business) titles.

Multiple books that meet formatting and quality standards are no longer reaching external retail channels and instead remain limited to StreetLib’s own storefront. This effectively reduces the platform’s role from a distributor to a closed ecosystem.

Key concerns include:

* Lack of a clear, specialized review pipeline for technical non-fiction
* Limited transparency regarding distribution restrictions
* Inconsistent channel delivery despite successful uploads

For authors working in specialized or technical domains, this significantly reduces visibility and market reach.

Based on my experience, platforms such as Amazon KDP, Apple Books, and Lightning Source currently provide a more consistent and reliable environment for publishing and distributing professional and technical content.

I would appreciate clarification on:

1. The criteria used to restrict distribution
2. Whether this reflects a temporary issue or a long-term policy shift
3. What authors can do to ensure full channel access

Until these points are clarified, I cannot rely on StreetLib as a primary distribution partner.

Dec 2025: As a long-standing technical author with more than a decade of publishing history, over 100 peer-reviewed academic publications, and a catalog of complex engineering and industrial titles published globally across major platforms, I would definitely recommend Streetlib. Been using it for four years with no issues.

A part of my large catalog is in Streetlib.
In my opinion, give streetlib a modern interface and a fresh look that presents all what authors need to see and I will give them 5 stars for sure :)

My Experience with StreetLib: A Complete Letdown

‏After a personal experience with the StreetLib platform, I can state with absolute clarity and without a shadow of a doubt: this platform is an utter failure by any measure.

‏I signed up for the free membership and added my novel on August 18, 2025. Since then, the novel has remained stuck in "Under Review" status with no significant progress.

‏Ten days ago, I contacted the technical support team. I received a reply stating that the issue was being looked into and would be resolved as soon as possible. However, instead of a solution, I received a message urging me to upgrade to a paid account. Since that time, there has been no change or progress in resolving the problem.

‏Based on this experience, I strongly advise against using the StreetLib platform at all.

‏As for a free alternative, which I consider a million times better, it is the Draft2Digital platform. Admittedly, it is less well-known, but it is simpler, less complicated, and offers far more professional services without any delays or complexity.

‏My rating for the StreetLib platform is 1 out of 10, as I derived no benefit from it whatsoever.

Streetlib is not a good service. If you want to use the free version, then I guess no harm done. But I wouldn't advise anyone to upgrade to the paid plans. They will promise your book will get tons of distribution but it won't. It will be in Amazon, B&N, and a handful of other international retailers, but that's it. My book was not on dreame, Google Play, media365.com, and many other places they promised. They will have it on your site like your book is in these stores, but when you actually go to the website, like media365, Google Play, or dreame and search for your title, it won't be there. And the Apple Store is even worse! My book does have a page on the Apple store, but it's called a "preview," and there's no button to actually purchase the book! And if I go directly to the Apple and search for my book, it's not there. So it's like Streetlib created a dummy page for my book that you can't purchase from anyway. All the features you are supposed to get automatically from the plan upgrade, you will have to constantly email Streetlib about because it's like you pay for the upgrade and they'll give you the extra features when they feel they are good and ready to. Usually, you pay for something and you get it right then and there, and don't have to negotiate or ask several times for it. The extra features aren't worth the money anyway. They won't help with any marketing other than giving you the ability to make coupons and create a mailing list for ARC copies. That's it. It's really not worth $99 a year + 15% of any sales you make. Yes, having all your retail channels in one place so you can easily track your sales is cool, but like I said, you won't be on half the retail channels they promise you anyway. Is it really that hard to track B&N and Amazon on your own? Nah! There are other services that do the same thing for cheaper and might actually help with some marketing, too. So yeah, save your money and publishing time and go elsewhere. Streetlib is too much hassle, and they'll make you pay for the headache.

I do not respond well to unsolicited mail.I too got their spam email telling me I had unlocked some crap on their platform. Them despite this at the bottom of the email it asked if I had not signed up, then I could do so. I don't need their services, my books do very well without their whatever it is they think they can do for me. I certainly won't pay any spammy company to make money out of me...how stupid do they think I am.
In the uk such emails are illegal and if they were based here you can bet your bottom dollar I would report them to the ico. Instead I will make it known that such business practices should not be tolerated and I hope this review is seen by people before they sign up to these jokers.

Got an email from Streetlib welcoming me to the Pro Plan.
But I have never registered to the site, I had even to search what Streetlib is, as I never heard about it before.

I would prefer StreetLib accomodate PDF and EPUB versions. I believe overall StreetLib is a good option but I would be more positive in my rating if there were better options in promoting ebooks and sales assistance especially with an initial book. I'm addressing alternative sites that can be helpful in ebook communication and sales but will maintain ebook on SLib with minimal sales growth expectations.

I started 2 days ago so far i am happy but there should be some improvements, the epub files created by state-of-the-art software don't work, only their write app work, they reject everything else, this review can be 1 stars or 5 stars depends how this will go in last 3 month, i see that streetlib responded, let me respond to that: well i am not happy i got the basic plan and the pro plan is way expensive for 100 ebooks only,

The process is not linear or obvious. Hate to say this but take a page from kdp - a very clear, very direct process.

Suggestion: ask an author who has never used your site to start … and watch where the hiccups and slowdowns are. Then make changes accordingly.

Make clear, complete tutorials for beginners and post them on YouTube. Not to be mean, but pls use native English speakers.

Also, I still have no idea how the Pro Plan works. Yes, the basics are posted, but how exactly do those things help distribute and sell books? Answers in a separate tutorial, pls.

I originally planned to go with another self-publishing option, but while waiting for them to resolve some payment processing problems, l found this firm. StreetLib’s online terms stated that they would “publish my book professionally in both digital and print formats with their Digital + Print Bundle, format my book as a PDF file for print-on-demand or digital printing, and with one year of global distribution included, make my book available everywhere readers are." With this promise, l was convinced to switch to them — which meant giving up the 50% discount then being offered by the previous firm. However, shortly after signing up, l received an email which informed me that StreetLib’s print-on-demand service is currently only available in Italy! By that time the discount from the first firm had expired, and the best that StreetLib could offer was to distribute my printed books through Amazon alone — despite there being no mention of these facts in their online terms at that time. That glaring omission had led me to switch to them at a loss of $125, which was the extra money it would now cost me to return to the original firm.

Now here’s the irony: as a direct result of my complaint, StreetLib changed the wording on their website to be more transparent. Yet when l told them that their incomplete online information had cost me $125, they weren’t interested. Although l repeatedly asked to be compensated for this loss, they dug in their heels, claiming right up to 18th March that they owed me nothing. Of course, thanks to the recent amendments to their webpage, the same thing is unlikely to happen to you. But l do hope you’ll take note of how this firm treats customers who have a genuine complaint, because at the end of the day, StreetLib’s mistake has cost me money l can’t afford… and as for them? Well, clearly they couldn’t care less.

I cannot login. Everything I try leads to a dead-end with an instruction telling me to do something I have already done (must accept privacy policy) or (must include email address). When I seek to obtain a new password, the box that indicates a code with be sent to you, only gives me "User password cannot be reset in the current state." when I click it. And I cannot find a way to communicate with a person. Very frustrating.
