Harvey Norman Wanganui New Zealand

My name is Lorraine Walker
I have been a loyal customer with Harvey Norman Ltd Wanganui New Zealand since 2001 buying all my household appliances etc. Then I had a faulty printer this year and they sent it away for repair. When I received it back it still would not work and after investigation, I found that the company who Harvey Norman sent it to have set my printer up to their WIFI AND it WOULD NOT WORK ON MINE.
They stated in their original email that my enquiry is very important to them and will email updates as soon as possible. Customer Service ticket no NZ 03912765, At first, they stated the problem did not replicate itself with them in September. Thet wanted me to take the printer to them. I have a serious disability so have to pay for taxis to do this, This does seem strange as it was WORKING BEFORE THIS FINE.
In the end I took my printer to them but when I GOT IT HOME AGAIN IT STILL DID NOT WORK.
I contacted Canon Support who told me that the WIFI must have been set to the repair company and not my WIFI.
They then replied and said it would cost me $99 for them to visit my home to set my WIFI up to my computer.
I should not have to pay this to RESURRECT THE CORRECT SETTINGS.
They even had the cheek to say THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING AT HARVEY NORMANS BUT WOULD NOT SEND A TECHNICIAN TO FIX IT.
I sent them details that Canon Support sent me to obtain proof of the problem.
I pointed out to them that without my printer it was COSTING ME MONEY AS I HAD TO PUT MY DOCUMENTS ON A USB STICK AND TAKE TO THE WAREHOUSE STATIONERY TO GET PRINTED, THIS COST ME A LOT OF MONEY AS I CAN NOT DO WITHOUT MY PRINTER,
I THEN POINTED OUT TO THEM that I WAS NO DUMMY and have been computer literate since 1977. That soon changed their attitude.
I sent them proof of my work history for two companies from 1977 and 1985, LOL
I then received a reply that they would discuss the problem with their PROPRIETOR ASAP.
They still refused to send a technician out to reset my WIFI settings and said the issue is toooo complex for them and would refund my money.
HOW INCOMPETENT IS THAT FOR A COMPANY OF THEIR STANDING ???
I replied and said I CAN’T SEE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH RESETTING MY WIFI.
Harvey Norman wanted me to pay $99 for a technician to come to my house and fix it. I refused because IT WAS NOT MY FAULT AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TOP PAY FOR IT BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR PROBLEM.
I refused to do this, and I COMPLAINED BUT THE OWNER WOULD NOT BUDGE.EVEN ALTHOUGH MY Printer was STILL under WARRANTRY, so they refunded my money.
However, it cost me $228 for the replacement. I am a pensioner and found their treatment DESPICABLE especially as I had been a loyal customer for all these years.
I also ASKED FOR A REFUND OF TWO UNUSED INK BOTTLES WHICH COST ME $42 as they were of no use to me with the new printer I finally located. THEY COMPLETELY IGNORED MY EMAIL ON THIS SO ANOTHER $42 OF MY PRECIOUS PENSION LOST. Overall, this cost me $260 plus the cost of several taxis to their premises and the added cost of printing my documents fro the USB stick plus the taxi expenses to get there to do this,
GREED IS A HUNGRY DEMON – Before Mammon toppled from heaven to hell, he was more interested in heavens golden pavements that’s it celestial leader. not surprising he carried his LUST FOR WEALTH with him into the brimstone abyss where he is still scheming up ways to manipulate humans into adding to his treasure. Mammon is a demon who, according to Christian theology, embodies one of the cardinal sins: greed. In fact, this demon’s monstrous greed is so powerful that innocent men can be sucked into it and corrupted, so that they too focus their attention on building up worldly treasure instead of virtues that they can carry with them into the kingdom of heaven.
