Spot is very good in there an analysis of the filed claims even checking back with the pets owner and the vet
Very helpful when I called about my dog passing. Also very quick on my claim. Very happy with the insurance.
They seem to review the claims carefully & get back to me. I adopted my sweet boy “Moo Cow”, from our animal shelter & he’s had a rough start but hopefully he will stay healthy.
I have only used this twice and one time was towards the deductible and the other paid 50% of the cost. Reimbursement payment was fast. I think it is important to have pet insurance, so hopefully this one works out if we have any major bills.
After dealing with endless hurdles and frustration with Lemonade, switching my 3-year-old Saint Bernard, Mabel, to Spot was the best decision I could have made.
Anyone with pets knows how difficult dental claims usually are, with most insurers searching for any excuse to classify everything as "routine" or "pre-existing." Mabel recently needed a major dental surgery under general anesthesia that included full-mouth X-rays, complex surgical extractions, and post-op medications, totaling over $2,000.
Having dealt with Lemonade previously, I was bracing myself for a fight. Instead, Spot reviewed the medical records, confirmed the medical necessity of the procedure, and approved the entire surgical invoice with zero exclusions. Once my deductible was met, my 80% reimbursement was deposited directly into my bank account in just days.
No bureaucratic red tape, no unfair denials, just straightforward coverage that honors the policy terms, and it was FAST. If you've been burned by other pet insurance companies, give Spot a look—they delivered exactly when we needed them.
Quick and easy submitting claim. Very knowledgeable customer service. Received reimbursement in timely manner!
I have never had an issue with Spot. The workers are kind and claims get processed quickly.
Good response times . Just unclear of why some claims are reimbursed and others just go to deductible.
Lexi became lethargic, not eating, and no energy in October of 2026. We took her to the vet on 10/21/2026 where she was diagnosed with advanced cancer. On 10/28/2026 she was euthanized due to her cancer. I filed a claim for the 10/21 vet bill that diagnosed the cancer and it was declined as a preexisting condition, pancreatitis. I filed an appeal, attached her entire 12 years of vet service. There were three mentions of pancreatitis in her records as possible, tested for, and finally nonexistent. She died of her diagnosed cancer on 10/28. I filed on 10/29/2026 for reimbursement for the euthanasia. On 11/2/2026, I was billed her monthly payment. I called today and they are crediting the billing. However, in the Q&A on their website, they state that they stop billing the next day after the passing of an insured pet, which should have been 10/29/2026. My filing of 10/28/2026 to Spot for reimbursement for the euthanasia, should have triggered the billing to stop. Anytime a claim is filed for reimbursement, an "outside" company (not Spot organization) decides on the claim. The process is very difficult and sometimes takes months to be completed.
My first time using pet insurance. Spot was very user-friendly and quick to review claims. I have a reimbursement on the way! 100% recommend
Spot Pet Insurance delivered excellent results for me and our dog, Comet, when he was severely ill.
Their prompt and complete hospital cost reimbursement came through just when I needed it.
Thank you for being an outstanding and honorable company! I will recommend Spot to everyone who needs pet health insurance! - John R., Reading, MA
It was ideal just to be able to take photos of the care plan and receipts. I like that you can see the process when you login.
Fast efficient claim processing and reimbursement! Great job, Spot!
