Ordered two nice pairs of shoes however I wasn’t aware that the items are shipped from China, the site looked like a UK one and I just assumed shipped from here, so the shipping is fairly lengthy and... See more

This company is a total con. The dress I eventually received (took 11 days to arrive) from China not London! Was not Linen but awful polyester and not the colour depicted on their website. When I asked for a return label I’m told I will have to pay the cost of returning to China with no indication how much this is and clearly a lot and not worth it. They are only offering me 20% refund. What a total con
Do not use this company
Was under the impression that this was a British company. Quality poor. Sizing small because it’s a Chinese company. Returns costly. Customer service very poor.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
After waiting for 9 days I received my "premium" delivery item. I ordered linen trousers, and received shoddy, thin polyester ones. The returns I have discovered have to go back to China. Their returns policy states:
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrect item.
Any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees related to the return are the responsibility of the customer.
Estimated return shipping costs to our international warehouse typically range between £15–£25 depending on carrier and parcel size.
This makes it entirely impractical to get a refund on a £32 item.
To obtain a refund you have to ship the item to China at your own expense.
Website has a UK address but Items are shipped from China. Clothing is cheap and returns expensive.
You will be offered a return that cost more than the item or a partial refund.
If you want cheap clothing and a price to match, you may as well go to Temu or Shein where the
Price matches and returns are easy.
I believed it would be a relatively simple process to buy 2 cardigans.
Over 3 weeks later and a million emails, still no sign. Avoid
Items very misrepresented in their online photographs. They make them look like linen, but in fact are very cheap, thin material. I ordered 5 items. 3 are ok, 2 are not wanted but they make it so difficult to return, involving postage to China and getting their "approval" before even attempting to return. Who do they think they are? The whole impression is that this is a high quality British clothing company - the truth is far from it! Admittedly the prices are low. I won't get caught again.
Ordered a handbag which arrived damaged. I too foolishly didn't check Trust pilot before making a purchase. The company name dupes you into believing it's a british company, when in fact it is not. BEWARE!
Very disappointed in the items. So glad I purchased something just in case. Took about 3 weeks to arrive.
Items nothing like the picture. No labels for a refund or communication from the company.
The advert said Linen but the actual item was man made fibre . They did not state what the material is. Long delivery I immediately set about returning item to find it was from china. So almost impossible to get the item returned - 100% repayment if you take it in credit of their stuff- no use. 20% refund otherwise. Be prepared !!!
Avoid this company at all costs. The products are nothing like advertised it was supposed to be linen it’s highly flammable viscose such poor quality. Then they offer a 30% refund but you have to send the product to china at your cost! I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. I’ve learnt my lesson
Refused to cover return postage for faulty item (Breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015).
I purchased a clothing item from Mayfair & Finch (£49.95), which arrived with a severe manufacturing defect (incorrect dimensions and unwearable cut — 30 cm front rise on Size S).
Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, retailers are legally required to pay for return shipping when an item is defective. However, Mayfair & Finch refused to provide a prepaid return label and forced me to pay £25.90 for Royal Mail return postage out of my own pocket.
The merchant is in breach of UK consumer law. I have initiated a chargeback with my bank and will be reporting this business to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice.
Rhe dress was nothing like the one i ordered and took a longer tjme than predicted to arrive i have asked for the returns address 3 times they offered me 20% and to keep the dress of which i said i dont want to keep it i will nevwr wear it material is cheap. Said i would need to return overseas at my cost and i said thats fine send me the address over a week ago and im still waiting very poor responsw and even poorer clothing that doesnt match the description
I’ve had a terrible experience with Mayfair and Finch. I ordered a summer dress which was described as lightweight with a crinkle finish and when it arrived it only vaguely resembled the one I purchased and it was of a nylon type material. Not at all what I was expecting and not something I would ever wear.
I advised that it didn’t meet the online description and was told I still needed to pay the postage to get a refund. I have sent images of the dress on the website and the one I received and am waiting for a response. I have sled for a refund and a prepaid postal label. Very poor customer care. Poor quality product.
I wouldn’t have given them one star but needed to to move to the review.
I wanted to return a dress and was first of all offered a partial refund and to keep the dress. I refused this saying I wanted a full refund.I was then offered a bigger refund which I again refuse. I was then given details as to how return the dress to China at great cost to myself. As a matter of principal I did this and the parcel has been stuck '- being assessed by destination customs authority' - for 2 months! I would not use this company again.
Long shipping time, when item arrived it was poor quality and not the correct size, the dress didn’t look like the picture, when I asked for a return they said I would have to send back to china for a 100% refund but at my expense. Avoid this company at all costs cheap Chinese scams
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I ordered a dress from Mayfair and Finch expecting the item shown and advertised on their website. Unfortunately, what I received was completely different and, in my opinion, looked like a very cheap knockoff. I later found what appeared to be the same dress on Temu for around £12.50, despite paying £50 for the dress advertised by Mayfair and Finch.
I am extremely disappointed with the quality and with the huge difference between what I believed I was purchasing and what I actually received.
To make matters worse, returning the item would reportedly cost me another £15–£25, which feels completely unreasonable when I am unhappy with the product I received.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before ordering from this brand. I certainly will not be purchasing from them again.
AVOID PLEASE!! THIS IS NOT A LONDON BASED COMPANY IT IS INFACT CHINA BASED !! POOR -AWFUL QUALITY!!!
I WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR 2 DRESSES WHICH I NEEDED TO RETURN AT AN EXPENSIVE COST TO MYSELF ..
THE GARMENTS ARE OF TERRIBLE QUALITY NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING AT ALL!!
STEER CLEAR!!
Avoid buying from this company. I bought a pair of shorts from Mayfair and Finch they were advertised as being linen shorts however they were in fact some cheap material made of cotton and polyester with a strong smell of dye. I thought the company was UK based, they make it look like that but in fact they are shipping from China. It took 10 days to receive the item I would like to get a refund but it costs £15/25 to send the item tracked to China.
I ordered a large tote bag from this website. It took a long time to be delivered and, when it arrived, it was quite small (yes, I should have noted the dimensions 🙈) and not suitable for purpose. I asked to return it for a full refund and was told I would have to send it tracked delivery back to China at my own cost!
BEWARE - read their T&Cs before buying anything from this site!
Not impressed with the quality of the product either. Will not buy from this site again.
