ordered aquarium plants, arrived 3 days later, opened the bag and what I recieved was not plants but small cuttings that had almost no leaves most were rotten they went in the bin and I demanded a full refund imediately, I got my refund but that is not the point, they should not be allowed to get away with this, do not buy from them for these goods I will never use them again.

Made some preorders for delivery in March, they arrived in May, which was not so good because the soil was not easy manageable anymore. The plants arrived as weak roots, I assumed they would be in pots, as the sizes were stated "9cm", "3litre" ect, but it didn't say "pot" anywhere. To my surprise the plants arrived as bare roots which aren't good to plant in May, and for example Allium Ursinum came as one leaf with a small root, all together with the root that one stem measured 9cm. If I knew it would be that small I wouldn't order it, it arrived half dead, what's they point selling plants so small they are not viable? At least make it clear it would be a bare root of one stem, so people know. Most of them roots I planted have not showed up yet, thought I kept watering the soil, I wonder if they will ever show up, or was it just a waste of money and effort planting them.

I recently created a wildlife pond and wanted to add native pond plants to it. Upon searching for said plants I came across this company, and how I wish I hadn’t. The delivery arrived and first impressions weren’t good, the box was damaged and wet. No matter I thought, so long as the plants were ok. Well, I could’ve cried. The 3 bunches of weed contained maybe 7 strands in total! The two plants in pots looked sad. The lily, which I was most excited about and paid a decent amount for was tiny and looked unhealthy. I contacted customer services who to be fair were very pleasant, however they very much fobbed me off. No mention of the tiny amount in the bunches, and they said the lily was fine and to let them know in a few weeks if I was still unhappy. Being a newbie I figured that maybe this is what you get with pond plants, and I would wait. Last week I decided that I was miserable looking at an empty pond, the plants weren’t doing anything, and so I went online again and ordered from Roots. This order came today. What a completely different experience. The packaging was wonderful, and the plants, oh the beautiful plants, they exceeded my expectations. All six were bright green, healthy looking, and so big. Thrilled is an understatement. I’ve put them in the pond already and it’s made such a difference. However it also made me realise what poor quality and quantity of plants I’d been sent by Lincolnshire, so therefore this is my review, complete with photos. I will never purchase from them again.

I ordered a range of differents plants--a dwarf water lily, water hawthorn, bog bean, crowsfoot, frogbit, and water shamrock--and all but two plants were very dead or near dying.
The plants are sent through Royal Mail 48 hours, so any plant that is sealed up in a knotted plastic bag (which was most of them), they just steam to death in a little plastic sauna. My water lily was rotted through, every leaf and stem, same with the frogbit and the water hawthrone.
This would all be understandable, but why I would never use them again is their response. They send emails with long screeds about how the plants aren't really dead and all that matters is that the root is intact--that if you wait a few months, it will recover. It doesn't matter if you've paid for a healthy plant rather than bare root, they just tell you to wait. It doesn't matter if the pictures show how consistently dead they are, they tell you to wait.
They sent me replacement frogbit that was just as dead and regardless of the pictures, they insist that if I throw the dead matter into my pond, it will come back if I'm patient enough.
And if you say that you don't want to wait months for the plant to maybe recover and you want it refunded, they'll tell you that you have to pay to return them. If you then follow up by pointing out that the Consumer Goods Act states clearly that they have to pay to have their goods shipped back, you'll get another sassy email apologising for the inconvenience and they'll attach a pdf for you to print out.
Their customer service is either a long list of copy-pasted text chunks or AI, but it will drive you mad if you have a problem.
Pond plants rarely look great on arrival, I was ready for that. But if you use this company in the middle of summer, be prepared to pay a hundred quid for rotting matter and mud, whilst someone gives you long paragraphs on why they don't want to just refund your money.
For me, I'll never order with them again.

Absolutely appalling quality and customer service.
This is not the first time I have had problems ordering aquarium plants from Lincolnshire Pond Plants, but my most recent experience has been enough to ensure I will never order from them again.
I recently placed an order for two aquarium plants costing over £20. The first delivery arrived with one of the plants missing, and the plant that was included was absolutely disgusting—decomposing, infested with snails, and clearly not fit for sale.
The missing plant was then sent out separately took over a week, but it was no better. It arrived in an equally dreadful condition, with rotting, decomposing leaves and only one green leaf remaining. It went straight into the bin because it was completely unusable.
To make matters worse, when I contacted the company, the customer service was just as disappointing as the quality of the plants. The excuses I received were abysmal, and there was no genuine concern or willingness to put things right. It was clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
It's a sad reflection of customer service today that some companies seem happy to take your money but show little regard for the quality of the products they send or the customers who complain when things go wrong.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The quality control is extremely poor, the customer service is equally disappointing, and I will certainly not be ordering from them again.
Avoid this company.

They sent a lily rhizome with lily bulb rot. It stank. It died. I had no other plants to get infected, thank goodness. It was a brand new pond built for this Joey Tomack lily. I sent dozens of emails and scores of photos at their request. They will not guarantee a refund nor replacement. I have spent hours trying to sort this. They clearly think if they just keep prevaricating and asking for more photos, I will just give up. Appalling. Be warned!

HI the only surviving plant is a water hawthorn. both Hornwort were dead on arrival and did not recover when they went in the pond. The other Water hawthorn has no foilage and looks dead its still in the pond and the other 2 leaves which I assume were plants have also died. Wont be purchasing from you again

The plants arrived dead and mushy. One of the worst order I've ever received. Ordering plants online from this seller.....keep away!

From the company website that heralds Chelsea show wins, I was expecting high quality plants to be delivered. This couldn't be further than the case. I spent nearly £45 on various plants from this company and they were all extremely poor quality. The water lettuce was dead. The dwarf water lily had lots of dead/black stringy stems on it that just broke off (only 1 healthy leaf remains) so it may not make it - time will tell. The frogbit were all tiny and had yellow leaves. The bog plants were the smallest plants I have ever seen. One has died and so may the others. Only the duckweed arrived in ok condition and well, its duckweed! The company said all the plants were ok!!! and would only replace the water lettuce whose replacement also arrived dead went it arrived. Avoid using this company...awful quality for the price you pay for their plants. The amazing plant photos on the website are no way near representative of what you will receive.

Oh how the mighty fall. In the greatest traditions of UK companies that start off ok and then just steadily go down hill. Linc’s Pond Plants have become a complete joke. I purchased some plants at Amazon. When I received the package it was for 4 not 5 as I had ordered. One was dead and had disintermediated, another was half dead. The plants were not even 5 cms long and in terrible condition. You cannot speak to a human at LPP, only a very irritating Ai bot, that does not take your details. I gather the office at LPP is run by a school boy who is clueless. I gave up trying to deal with LPP direct as it was clear they were not interested. Amazon has issued me a full refund. There are plenty of pond plant sales companies online, do your self a favour and deal with ANYONE of them. Take my advice and do not deal with this amateurish and disrespectful company. Below you will see the response from LPP, They never processed a refund, they are lying. This is a truly unprofessional shower of a company.
UPDATE: Lincs pond plants refused to issue a full refund, and were about as difficult, dishonest and awkward as they could be. I made an A to Z claim at Amazon, these are always hard when it is a third party seller. this one was because Lincs Pond plants lied and would not cooperate. Amazon have now issued me with a FULL REFUND and compensation. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

I spent over 130.00 to say the plants are a disappointment is a understatement, I emailed saying the weed and other plants had actually rotted, numerous plants were yellow, one had all the roots showing so I had to buy additional soil, initially a lady, Sophie said I could have a refund on the dead weed, I sent her additional pictures of the yellowing dying plants, a man Oliver replied saying they all looked healthy, to make sure I had them correctly placed, I had done as directed, he just gaslite my concerns and fobbed me off. I will never use this company again. I gave one star, because at least Sophie acknowledged there was a problem. She said she would issue a refund, as yet I have not received it, after Oliver’s message I don’t expect to see a penny!

Second time in purchasing from them. The plants were very poor quality. We contacted them and sent them a pic of the plants saying they were unsalvageable. They disagreed and wanted us to send the plants back. By the time they replied we had already binned them. £80 we won’t be getting back . We won’t be buying from them again.

Disappointing second purchase. Plants were broken when arrived and only sent 4 out of the 5 water lilies from advertised pack of 5. Contacted firm to say not bothered about refund but that they should consider their courier. Received no reply which reflects their customer service.
