I started getting promotional emails from them even though I never bought anything or signed up. I think I have filled out an order form just to see the shipping cost system since they differ by store, but that doesn't give them the right to use my info for promotions. I never agreed to receive those emails, and I really didn't appreciate it.

Kept me in touch with regular emails as to where my delivery was at, this was very satisfying to have such wonderful service from an overseas company.
I really enjoyed shopping with Japan with Love store online, great to have found a store that sells the product that I was wanting to purchase.

I placed an order with Japan With Love (Order #611586JWL), but an item worth $22 was missing from my package. While customer service initially acknowledged the mistake and agreed to a refund, they claimed their own PayPal account was limited. They repeatedly instructed me to open and reopen PayPal disputes or call my bank.

Because they dragged the communication out, all standard consumer protection windows with PayPal and my bank have completely expired. I had continually followed up to request a simple, direct manual transfer to resolve their mistake, but they refuse to issue the funds. Be very careful buying from this company, as they will run out your dispute clock instead of directly sending your refund.

UPDATE: After sharing my experience, a support manager named Hikaru personally reached out to take full responsibility for the past system errors. They have now manually processed the $22 refund directly to my PayPal account to make amends. I deeply appreciate the management team finally tracking this down and taking care of it.

Very disappointed with my experience.

My order arrived with a leaking shampoo bottle, and some of the product had spilled inside the package. On top of that, I ordered Tsubaki Shampoo but received Tsubaki Conditioner instead.

I contacted the seller three times (including messages through their page), but I never received any response or support. This is especially frustrating because the mistake was not from my side, and I was simply asking for a replacement.

The seller also recommended changing my original 490ml shampoo order to the newer 450ml version. I agreed to proceed, but I was disappointed that the price remained the same while receiving less product. I understand product updates happen, but this should have been clearly explained and fairly handled.

Overall, poor communication, incorrect item sent, and no customer service after the purchase. I would not recommend buying from this seller.

I had a few different problems with this company. First of all one of the items that I had selected and were part of my order I was notified was no longer available when I needed to select another item. I found it interesting when I went to the website the item I was being told that was no longer available was still on the website and I could actively add it into a cart and order it, and there was no indication it was out of order.

The other big issue I had was with the description of products. I bought a stainless steel cullender that is clearly made out of aluminum and a magnet does not stick to it. And I ordered five Musubi Furoshiki that on the companies website was described as being made from silk. Upon receiving the item as soon as I touch the fabric, I knew it was not silk. I read the label and it clearly states it’s 100% polyester. Very disappointing! And I wouldn’t spend nine and $13 for 70 cm worth of polyester! It is also worth noting that the cost of shipping was very high! Almost the same cost as my total order.

I love the apagard royal toothpaste! It's a bit pricey to import, but worth it for me. No toothpaste I buy off the shelves have ever worked well for me, to the point where some would even make my inside my mouth irritated and skin would come off. This toothpaste makes my teeth and my mouth feel good and my breath feels nice and neutral with it. I order two or three at a time, and I'm OK with paying the cost for this.

I placed an order for the Nivea Clear Beauty 2Way Facial Cleanser on June 6 and was excited to receive the product. Unfortunately, my overall experience with Japan With Love was disappointing due to the long shipping process and the resolution provided.

After waiting over a month, the package was returned after an unsuccessful delivery attempt. I understand that shipping carriers have their own policies and that the original shipping fee may not be refundable. However, I was disappointed with the lack of empathy and understanding regarding my situation as a customer.

I communicated with Akihide regarding the issue, and while he explained the shipping situation, the only option provided was to pay an additional reshipping fee. Considering the extended waiting period and the inconvenience caused, I did not feel comfortable paying more to receive an order that had already taken so long.

I ultimately decided to proceed with a refund instead of continuing with the order. I hope Japan With Love can improve their customer support approach by providing more customer-focused solutions and showing more understanding when delivery issues occur.

I just read some reviews saying this website was a scam. I have used this site before and have had no trouble with my credit card going through. They let me know that my order had been placed and they communicated when the order was shipped. They also checked with me to see that I had received my order. The product I ordered was just a little expensive, but I knew that when I ordered it. This company cares about its customers and they sell first rate products. So I will continue to use them to order my favorite products from Japan. I visit Japan twice a year and have tried severalJapanese brands and products that I find to be superior to many here in the United States, which are imported from China. Thanks Japan with Love!
