Irish School of Motoring - ISM Reviews 

Booked my daughters 12 lessons as a birthday present. She got an instructor who panicked when she drove which made her panic and totally lose confidence. Something she was so excited for he ruined. She cancelled a 2 hour block a day before as she was sick with a vomiting bug and he didnt even have the decency to reply and rebook. Wrote poor notes in her driving lesson book that was totally unnecessary, like "I dont know what happened today" I had to contact the centre itself a few times because he never got back to her, he then gave out to her in the car saying if you need to contact me do that and dont go over me. Definitely dont recommend. Especially a young driver starting out. She has now done extra lessons with another company and is doing amazing.

I have used ISM to get my ADI qualifications.
The whole team are brilliant nothing is to much bother for them, Dave Malone was my instructor for stage 1 & 3 he is absolutely amazing, his teaching technique is second to none, Pat my instructor for stage 2 again brilliant and Karl who organised my course.
Can’t recommend the ISM team high enough.

I started traing with ISM recently to get my bus licence no fault of there's the RSA didn't send out my driver's licence I received it on the 6/08/2026. and started training with an instructor named Declan I done 4.5 hours with Declan great instructor learn alot from him 11 hours with an instructor called Stylianos. A very good instructor. He is instantly likeable calm deminer. U will more than likely be in a class environment not one on one and u will get people telling who failed 1st time saying it is the instructors fault the reason they failed I personally had very little driving time compared to others due to the RSA and there issuing of physical licences and passed it first time with no bus driving experience all the instructors are exelent abdi Joe Declan and of course Stylianos just listen to them the rest is on U

ISM is the best driving school I can recommend anyone to and also all thanks for to my Driving instructor SAAD AHMED. He is literally the best made everything easy for me despite being nervous . I will always recommend him anytime anyday . I passed my driving test on a first attempt I’m so grateful.

Ioan Padureanu was the Driving Instructor for my Son. He was excellent, very clear instructions, patient, very experienced. My son passed driving test first time. I highly recommend Ioan. I’ve already passed his details and recommended him to a friend for their son. When I booked lessons the ISM were very helpful. Ioan is very reliable, punctual, lots feedback. He was excellent to get my Son prepared for the test. My son did 2 hour lesson block and this worked very well.

Did mine with Sarah Burke excellent teacher and thought me very well 10/10 experience with her every time

Niamh is simply the best, kind and nice most part of the time but very strict enough to keep me concentrated on my goal.

I had a great experience with Saad. He was very calm, patient, and professional throughout the lessons. He explained all the rules clearly and made sure I understood everything before moving on. His calm approach made me feel much more confident behind the wheel. I would definitely recommend Saad to anyone looking for a professional and supportive driving instructor.

Very clear and helpful lessons. My instructor Ioan was very available to my timetable and resulted in me getting all my lessons done at convenient times. He was also very quick to respond to queries when i texted him. Would defo recommend

I passed my test today after having practiced with Sandra. I've failed my driving test twice before, with different instructors. I loved Sandra's energy and professionalism. She is very knowledgeable and always pushed me to ask questions and think about how I'm driving. It made a big difference! I feel so much more confident, she's an excellent instructor. Booking the lessons was easy, I called the office and they gave me a few time slots immediately.

I completed the ADI car course with Dave in ISM and I just passed the final stage.
Highly recommend Dave and ISM. The course was excellent and helped me pass all 3 stages.

I didn’t enjoy my experience on my driving lessons at all overall I completed all my edt lessons with ISM and I then I had to go on and find a new instructor to do more lessons with because we did not cover anything at all! For the first 4 lessons we drove around a housing estate I do understand the issue may have been my driving at first but when I realised that everyone else I knew completing their lessons was learning way more then me while I knew I could drive I then understood the issue was the driving instructor he was rude and did not teach me nothing if I hadn’t off paid my lessons in full before starting them I would’ve just stopped taking lessons with ISM , on my last lesson the instructor asked me “ what is your plan now “ I told him it’s to book my driving test and he said to me “ your not ready u won’t
Pass u need more lessons “THEIR WAS NO WAY I WAS DOING MORE LESSONS WITH HIM .I then had to to more lessons with another driving instructor so in total I spent almost 1000 euro on lessons due to lack of knowledge off the ism instructor . I wasted my time and money on this driving school do not recommend them at all

I did all of my lessons with Niamh and she was absolutely wonderful. I passed my test first time thanks to her! She was so patient and kind and lovely to chat to, and I never felt anxious in the car with her.

I just passed my driving test on the first go having done my lessons with Ioan P over the last number of months. Ioan was always clear, calm and patient and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. I wouldn’t have passed on the first go if it weren’t for Ioan!

I done all my training in ISM Finglas for my Rigid and Artic license. And I passed both thanks to ISM. They were amazing from start to finish. From booking to the lessons. 3 of my colleagues have passed their tests through ISM Finglas. I couldn't recommend them enough. Instructor David O Carroll thought me all the way to the end. If you want to pass your test. ISM is where you need to train.

I passed my test on the 1st try after refresher classes with Ioan Padureanu. Would highly recommend him as an instructor! Very thorough and helpful

We completed the Cpc management course. The teaching and mentoring from both Aneta and Stephen was excellent from start to finish. They could not do enough for us. Top class.

I completed my driving lessons with Saad Ahmed, who is an incredible driving instructor. He is extremely knowledgable, patient and supportive. Thanks to his excellent teaching and encouragement, I passed my driving test. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you Saad!

I have used ISM for my driving lessons and also car hire for my test. My instructor was Saad Ahmed who was simply the most helpful person for someone doing a car test for the first time. He was patient with me and also had a great understanding of how to get me to pass the exam to which I did. Couldn’t recommend anyone more than Saad. Appreciate it and will be recommending my family and friends to Saad and ISM.

Had the instructor Saad Ahmed and would highly recommend! Helped me massively from start to finish to build my confidence on the road, understand and master the basics of driving. Always on hand to support and as a result I passed first time, if you are looking for an instructor to help you pass first time then Saad is your man!
