Super useful and convenient way to explore the city. Gave good value for money and meant we were able to squeeze a few extra things in without worrying about missing other slots or the expense. All in all, highly recommended for a trip to Amsterdam!

No stress!
I really enjoyed using the I Amsterdam city card! Me and my bf specifically purchased the 48hours ones and we had a blast! We did almost everything on our list and the best part was using the tram and buses with the card, no sweat!
We visited the Artis Zoo (and Micropia!), the Hortus Botanicus, Rijksmuseum, Moco, rode a bike at Vondelpark, did a canal cruise with Mokumboot ( highly recommended!!!) and sadly missed the time slot for A'dam lookout, but it was still quite fun!
Bonus points: Since we had already purchased the cards before even getting in our flight, when we were there it felt like we only spend money for food and extra activities not included (Anne Frank Museum and Ripley's believe it or not). So it felt good to not have to buy stuff all the time ngl! We just showed our QR codes and in we went ✨

Worked great but limited options
Nothing was wrong, it worked great wherever we went, but the limited museums and attractions that were discounted, instead of covered, were very underwhelming for the price we paid.

The card was absolute perfect for…
The card was absolute perfect for museums and public transportation. Free rides on the metro, and helped to get into major museums. It would’ve been nice to have been able to use the card in more places though. Many locations only gave discounts instead of free entry, and it was limited for boat tour options.

So convenient and easy to use! We had a blast going to museums, a comedy club, churches, hopping on and off the excellent public transit system. Definitely a better card than others we tried in Rome or Milan - much more organized and user friendly.

The I am Amsterdã card didn’t assess to treadmills village train
I hope the card gives entry to treadmills trains, since public transport was included. It was a surprise in the moment to take it.

The card was excellent value for money
The card was excellent value for money. I enjoyed traveling all around Amsterdam by tram and metro without having to worry about fares. It also gave me free access to several museums, which made the experience even more worthwhile.

My card never ever worked.
My card never ever worked.
As soon as I arrived at Amsterdam Central Station I attempted to activate. It did not activate.
I went to the I Amsterdam store they uninstalled and re installed the app and apparently activated the app.
The first time I tried to use it on a tram I could not resulted in me missing my stop. I then tried to use it at the Rijksmuseum and was told it was defective, resulting in me having to pay the full asking price.
I emailed I Amsterdam asking for a full refund, I was only provided with a partial refund, even though it never ever worked for me.
I am not impressed with it.
Save your money and don't purchase it.

It is correct that you were provided with a partial refund for the cards. As stated in our terms and conditions we normally do not refund activated cards, used or not. Due to your situation we made the exception and refunded most part of the card.

I bought 3 cards and the app failed
I bought 3 cards. During the process of sharing the cards between mobile devices, one of them disappeared. It was impossible to speak to anyone to resolve the issue. We had to buy cards again (this time individually to avoid the system malfunction). None of the first three cards were ever used, and despite filing a claim via PayPal, more than 15 days have passed and we still have no response.
