Outstanding support – fast, friendly, and highly professional
I had an excellent experience with IONOS support today. After a plugin update caused a critical error on my WordPress website, I contacted support and received immediate assistance. The support representative was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Within a short time, my website was successfully restored from a backup, saving me a great deal of stress. Domain and hosting Services
I purchased the domain and hosting together. I fully cancelled the contract for both services, though I had to wait a certain amount of time for the services to actually be discontinued (which is completely understandable).
However, it is not normal to be charged the domain renewal fee while still waiting for the contract to end. I was billed for another full year. They said I have to disable auto renew, the contract cancelation does not do it. It makes no sense for automatic renewal to remain active even though the contract has been cancelled. So we careful, there are a lots of hidings tricks also when you choosing the services, they maybe looks free but they will charge.

Their web-portal, support, account-management and GPSR compliance is criticizable.
It took them more than a week to reply to a very basic support request. Fortunately I hadn't commissioned any production systems to IONOS, this was just an initial "test-run" for evaluation.
And it was impossible for them to delete my payment-card information, hence the claim of not being GDPR compliant.
When I finally got in touch with them, they couldn't find my account, even after sending them a screen-dump of the account details from the web-portal (I was able to login to the account!).
I cannot recommend this company as a serious business partner.
