Money thrown away
Our experience with Homers was extremely disappointing.
Homers advertises that they can find you an apartment within three weeks. During the sales call, they make you feel confident that your profile is a great fit and convince you to pay the €350 upfront fee. Once they’ve received your payment, the service is completely different.
In over a month, they barely did anything. They sent us very few listings, and most of them didn’t even match the criteria we had clearly provided. They were never able to arrange a single viewing. Every time we asked for an update, there was another excuse.
What was most frustrating was that it genuinely felt like they weren’t even trying. The number and quality of the apartments they shared was unbelievably poor. It was hard to believe any real effort was being made to help us find a place.
When we raised our concerns, instead of trying to improve the service, they became defensive and suddenly claimed that our profile was “too difficult”—the exact opposite of what they had told us before we signed the contract.
We eventually gave up, searched on our own, scheduled several viewings ourselves, and signed a lease within two weeks.
In our experience, Homers was happy to collect the upfront fee but failed to deliver the service they promised. We feel like we paid €350 for virtually nothing. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
