I have been a follower of Kitazawa Co. Seed Catalog for over ten years, since the time I had a back yard vegetable garden. It has been my to go source for unusual Asian vegetables that local Home Depot and plant stores do not carry. Now, I have retired in Honolulu, living in a high rise condo, I am enjoying micro green salad garden in my window side no soil window shelves. I have been trying many unique micro greens seeds from Kitazawa. My favorite ❤️ are black seed sunflower, Red Malabar Spinatch, arugras , sassafras, watercress. They are excellent in salad, sandwiches and on top of everything else.

Unique Asian varieties of vegetables. So Mostly good experience - with greens for first few years but last year seeds did not produce well. Maybe just a weather thing.

Make sure when you order to get the info or take a screen shot because there is not as much on the packet. I wish they would include links - I would have liked to grow balloon flower but not one!

Some of the items will list whether they use Thiram (Tetramethyl- thiuram disulfide) and label the packet - Thank you Kitazawa. This kills microscopic fungi (see mycotoxin) but should never be inhaled so I plan to wear a mask and also gloves when planting. Oregon basically does not use it much and I looked up their worker safety there - major pro active farmers and gardeners there.

I have found another seed company I like better and have been getting involved with Seed Savers so probably will not order again but who knows!?
