My request was handled very professionally and satisfactorily. I was treated with respect and valued as a customer more than the company themselves. I was encouraged to return for services at any time.
Would have been nice to know there was a charge before I started the process
Wrong file type downloaded & Subscription!
I ordered a PDF and it kept downloading the low res PNG I uploaded. I ended up re-trying as a SVG, and a rather poorly outlined vector downloaded. Not something worth trying to cleanup. Tried emailing support with no response. BUYER BEWARE - You are automatically subscribed a $55/mo subscription, which bills after 7 days (surprise to me).
The svg. conversion had analysing around it
The site told me it was free to convert my JPG to SVG however they charge me $.99 which I did not expect nor do I appreciate to get my file converted
Originally, I left a 1-star review after being charged $55 following a $0.99 trial when I did not realize the subscription had renewed and was frustrated that my initial refund request was denied.
After posting my review and following up with support, FilesBuddy reconsidered and issued a full refund. I appreciate that they ultimately made things right.
My criticism remains the same: a $0.99 trial converting into a $55 subscription after 7 days is easy to miss, and I believe a reminder email before renewal would be a more customer-friendly approach.
While I would still advise users to read the terms carefully and cancel immediately if they only need a one-time conversion, I do give FilesBuddy credit for ultimately resolving the issue and refunding the charge.
Caution: you will get random unauthorized charges to your credit card. You won't even have an account to find out how this happened and have to file a fraud claim with your bank to make it stop.
