I would say AutoVendi is more on the dealer/buyer side than on the individual seller side. Don't know about any garage/dealer selling with them, but for individual sellers, they try to squeeze the seller down to the minimum amount.

I would advise potential customers to proceed with caution when dealing with AutoVendi.
In my experience, the process lacked transparency regarding important terms, particularly around cancellation fees. During the initial discussions, no clear explanation was provided about any cancellation penalty. The issue only came up later, after I informed them that my relocation plans were put on hold and I could not proceed with the sale.
At that point, significant pressure was placed on me to complete the transaction with the buyer or pay a cancellation fee. This was surprising, especially since I had not signed the purchase agreement and had clearly communicated my situation.
Additionally, my vehicle had developed a technical issue, which I also reported. Despite this, there was continued pressure to deliver the car to the buyer, even though I had informed both AutoVendi and the buyer about the problem.
A process involving financial penalties should be clearly explained upfront and confirmed explicitly before any commitment is assumed. Transparency and fair communication are essential in such transactions.
I hope AutoVendi improves their customer communication and ensures that all terms and obligations are clearly explained to customers before moving forward with any agreement.Given the circumstances, I believe this matter deserves proper review. I hope that consumer protection authorities in the Netherlands, such as the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM), ensure that companies operating in this sector maintain clear and fair practices for consumers.

All of our terms and conditions, including information about cancellation and the obligations after accepting a bid, are clearly stated on our website. During the process of listing a vehicle on our platform, sellers are also required to confirm that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions before the listing can be completed. In this way, we aim to be fully transparent about the rules and expectations involved in the sales process.
When a seller accepts an offer from a buyer through our platform, an agreement is created between both parties. At that moment, the buyer expects the transaction to be completed, which is why we encourage both parties to follow through with the agreed sale.
That said, we understand that circumstances can change, such as personal situations or technical issues with a vehicle. If that happens, we are always willing to review the situation and look for a reasonable solution together.

Unrealistic offers. Don't trust this vendor.
When you want a realistic price they are offended and say they can't help you. This is not what they are selling on their site. "Shoften" in dutch.

They say they work with professionals. But they didn't even post the car on their platform yet. On the phone they said the absolute lowest price you can think of. Which is ridiculous. They probably only bid themselves or their friends. Be carefully with these people. If you want to sell your car for way less and give them extra money... They dont give you real value.

It’s completely understandable to hope for a higher price. However, if the market does not support that expectation, we can only work with the realistic offers available. You are always free to decline an offer — there is never any obligation.

Disappointed and Misled. Never trust with Autovendi
I sold my car through Autovendi today, and I have to say the experience left me extremely disappointed. They initially promised me a final price of €7,250, assuring me there would be no negotiations or surprises — just take the car to the dealer, and the agreed amount would be paid.
Based on this, I agreed to proceed and drove over 100 km (about 1.5 hours) to the designated dealer, trusting their word. But once I arrived, the story suddenly changed. Autovendi started pointing out minor scratches that were never an issue before, and began renegotiating the price on the spot. This is exactly what I was promised wouldn’t happen.
At that point, I felt stuck — after investing time, fuel, and energy to get there, I ended up accepting a lower offer because going back empty-handed wasn’t an option. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic, and the whole thing came off as manipulative and dishonest.
If they had been upfront from the beginning, I could’ve made an informed decision. Instead, I felt misled and pressured into a situation that could have easily been avoided with some honesty.
Would not recommend based on my experience. Beware of false promises

A guaranteed offer is binding as long as the car matches the details you gave us. That’s why we always ask clearly about damage or issues. It’s important for a fair deal for both you and the buyer.
If the car turns out to have damage that wasn’t mentioned, we need to check that first. We don’t just take money off for no reason we ask for proof and always aim to stay fair and transparent. We can’t pretend damage isn’t there, especially on a car worth around €7,000. That wouldn’t be honest toward anyone involved.
It’s unfortunate that you felt pressured, but saying we break promises because of damage you didn’t report is simply not fair.

I recently sold my car through Autovendi, and the experience was overall very smooth and efficient. They offered me the best price, and the entire process was well-organized, systematic, and straightforward.
I uploaded the car’s details and photos, and shortly after, I received a call from them. They arranged for a dealership to pick up the car from my home on the agreed date. Upon arrival, they conducted a check on the car, did a test drive, and then immediately transferred the payment before taking the paperwork and leaving. The entire process was seamless and hassle-free.
The only part I found a bit unpleasant was that the agent who called me was quite pushy, insisting that I make an immediate decision. I understand that he was coordinating with the dealership in real time, but if I had just started exploring prices and wasn’t fully decided, this pressure wouldn’t have been ideal.
That said, the key takeaway is that if you already know the price you’re aiming for and have a clear expectation, the process will be quick, stress-free, and highly efficient.

Agressive and unreasonable sales people
We discussed an idea of selling a car which was not yet mine. Due to unforseen circumstances the car did not become my property, but still they charge me a €250 fee for breaking the agreement. Better go to their competitor wijkopenauto's with whom I had a much better experience earlier.
Their reply is not correct. The car was never sold to another party but did not get mine.

Je bent een verkoopovereenkomst met ons aangegaan en meldde vervolgens dat de enige sleutel van de auto kwijt was. Daarna bleek dat de auto aan een derde partij was doorverkocht, wat in strijd is met onze afspraken en algemene voorwaarden, waar je mee akkoord bent gegaan.
Wij vinden het bijzonder dat je ons als agressief en onredelijk bestempelt, terwijl wij gedurende het hele proces overal aan hebben meegedacht. Zelfs op het moment dat je aangaf de sleutel kwijt te zijn en de auto aan een derde partij te hebben verkocht, hebben wij ervoor gezorgd dat de contractuele koper nog steeds bereid was de auto over te nemen. Je bood zelf aan om de auto bij de garage op te halen, maar uiteindelijk is dit niet doorgegaan. Ondanks het feit dat jij degene bent die de regels brak, hebben wij alles gedaan om tot een oplossing te komen.
Gezien deze inspanningen vinden wij de beschrijving van ons als onredelijk en agressief dan ook niet terecht.
Ondanks je ontevredenheid blijven we openstaan voor een gesprek om tot een oplossing te komen. We nodigen je uit om contact met ons op te nemen via telefoon of e-mail, zodat we dit kunnen bespreken.
