- sends request for the car.
- on confirmation asks for flight number, and tells you “ you have to cancel if you don’t have a flight number”
And of course no refund for that because it was booked the night before so it dosent fall within the 48 hrs to cancel for refund..
Rang Europe car directly and they also said don’t book through this company as their policies are different to the actual rental company, especially refund policy.

Refused refund based on hidden terms and conditions
I booked a car rental with Auto Europe, which was with Europcar London Gatwick. When I went to collect the car, I was refused rental as they told me my NZ driving license needs to be more than 20months old (it is just over 1yr). Europcar apoligised and started had then issued a full refund back to Auto Europe. Upon my return back to NZ, I contacted Autop Europe to seek a refund. I was informed that my car rental was classed as a 'no-show' since I wasn't able to collect the car due to the driving license requirements. I informed them that the terms and conditions clearly state "You must have held your Driving Licence for a minimum of 1 full year(s)", and makes no mention of the 20 month requirement which prevented me from renting the car. I heard no response, so I waited a over a week and sent a follow-up email. This has also been ignored, so I am now in the process of seeking a charge back with my bank. This is very disappointing customer service, since I clearly met the driving license requirements based on the stated terms and conditions, and the booking fee has been refunded to Auto Europe, but they are refusing to pass this on to me.

I booked/reserved a Toyota RAV 4 for my recent visit to New Zealand, but when arriving, i was informed that no vehicles of this make were available and was given a Toyota Yaris Cross.
