YOUTH JUSTICE SERVICES: Te Ako Rangatahi is a dedicated team of enthusiastic and driven youth mentors deeply committed to offering unwavering support to the rangatahi who seek our assistance. Te Ako Rangatahi is driven by a passion to empower rangatahi on their journey toward personal growth and self-improvement. Through a combination of mentorship and supported bail services, we aim to guide these young individuals toward brighter and more promising futures, ensuring they gain access to the opportunities and support they need to break free from the cycle of offending and pursue a path of positive change. Our commitment to identity and community-building, rooted in the values of whakapapa, whanaungatanga, and manaakitanga, underscores our dedication to the holistic well-being of rangatahi, their whānau, and the wider community. REINTEGRATION SERVICES: We provide a range of transitional accommodation to welcome our tāne and wāhine back into the community after time in prison or other institutions. We offer this across a range of programmes and bespoke contracts. We provide pro-social support and interactions to restore the humanity to those we journey alongside. SOCIAL JUSTICE & ADVOCACY: Mahi Mihinare's commitment to justice, evidence, and advocacy is a resolute endeavor to foster a more equitable and fair society for all. ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION: Our environmental restoration project Wairākau at Te Ara Hou is an opportunity for our staff, tangata whaiora, and community to connect with nature. A social enterprise of Mahi Mihinare - Anglican Action based at 100 Morrinsville Road, Hillcrest, Hamilton, it is more than just a place to enjoy a delicious meal — it's a catalyst for positive change in our community. At Ethos we believe in whole foods - simple, natural, and made by hand, from scratch in-house with local ingredients. We grow as much as we can in our own gardens and prioritise supporting small family businesses. Whenever possible, we choose organic ingredients to promote the best practices for both human health and the health of our planet. Our plates are intentionally sized for sharing, designed to be enjoyed together. The cafe also has a conference room/event venue that can be hired and can also provide catering for a booked event if desired.
