Depends which engineer you get
Initial engineer was a disaster. He quickly said he would need to get help with underground cabling and made a start on the interior cabling. He did not remove the old sockets/cabling and put the new wiring in pinned randomly to the wall nowhere near the door architrave in sections. Additionally there was significant slack in the cabling that could easily be caught when passing. He left without letting us know he was going and we never heard or saw him again. Complained via EE and an Openreach engineer turned up on the next working day to install the underground wiring but would not remedy the interior mess as this had been done by another company. He raised my complaint in the system and about 4 weeks later I received a call from Sarah from Circet who was excellent and very professional. She arranged for a different engineer to come out and remedy the problem and Umar was superb. He quickly sorted the problem with no fuss and was thoroughly professional and helpful in all that he did.
In short Sarah and Umar were great in sorting out a problem they should never have been dealing with in the first place. It is a shame they have to waste their time and skills on “mopping up” other people’s incompetence or lack of care and basic professionalism.
The initial attempted install was 31 July and it has now been sorted on 2 September.
The most inconsistent company i have…
The most inconsistent company i have come across. Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago, confirm it and all, take off leave for work for the day meant to come between 12-4pm start chasing them up at 4pm -5pm get told the job still Scheduled, 6pm they call me to say the job isn't going ahead and can only book me in 2 weeks later. Where is the customer service? Why must I now be pushed to the back of the queue for them not fulfilling their agreed commitment. Will never recommend them and I hope service providers stay far away them. You will loose customers.
so had an appointment withcicet today…
so had an appointment withcicet today between 8.00 and 12.00 p.m but it was a no show even though cicet text my daught to tell me about appointment. seems to much control of appointments down to comps and techs have free range to just not show up . cause fibre line belongs to nbi obly cicet can connect to inside home, which is too much power handed to them .open for abuse by circet.following on got in touch with my isp and repeated what i already told them and now circet say im resceduled for an appointment on sept 10th. i have been waiting for a connection for 1 month since line was readyto go through a wall into my house.TOTAL JOKE FROM A CRAP COMPANY WHO DID THEY KNOW TO GET CONTRACT.
Circet made our day
Billy phoned before he arrived with an ETA.
Billy your engineer arrived today 24/08/26 and immediately set about checking the best route to bring in the cable.
He suggested a way I hadn’t even thought of,which turned out to be perfect and aesthetically much better. Billy was efficient and both my wife and I were delighted with his attitude and the finished Job.
Billy is a great asset to your company.
Sincerely yours
Norman& June Trainor
4th time these apes have been out to…
4th time these apes have been out to the house. 4th time they cant do the job. The first 3 times i was informed I needed to cut the trees around the telephone pole. This isnt on my land so I said I wouldnt be able to, so they said each of the previous 3 times they would contact civils to do it. This was never done. This year I decided to do this work myself and contacted the LO and removed the tree branches. Fast forward to the forth visit. Oh we'll fix your underground connection instead but I cant do that Ill have to book you in....... I dont think any of these chaps work.
Property Damage
‘JA’ the Engineer’ drilled two 1.5 m holes into sandstone walls despite repeatedly being advised the cable would not reach and to use pre existing TV/sky routes. He drilled into my neighbours property. That was in May. We’re still going back and forth £££ damage. A painter ‘RE’ turned up today, put an inch of polyfilla and attempted to paint it wet. 50p solution for £££ job. Absolute cowboys. Avoid.
Ev charger install through Energia who…
Ev charger install through Energia who subcontracted the work to Circet. Still waiting for the Installer to complete the Installation form for SEAI in order that I may claim my grant. Test Record Sheet and Completion Cert issued to me on the day which was 20th May 2026. Litany of issues thereafter, which I could write a book on but suffice to say I have today threatened to contact Safe Electric if the Installer does not complete the form this week.
spurious paperwork and lax procedures
I found two men working on cabling in our garden in Crail (Scotland) and asked them what they wanted. They claimed to be from Circet / Openreach and gave me an 0800 phone number to ring for checking. When I rang, the line went dead, so I asked the men to leave. One of them got abusive. The permission papers that they had turned out to be signed by someone whose name I didn't recognise and who doesn't live in our property. I contacted Openreach but they were unable to confirm that these men had been working for them. I informed police, the village council and wrote to Circet to remind them that they needed the owner's permission to work in a garden.

Wow looks like the 2.5 star average is very generous.
Recently had a Circet technician out fixing my neighbours wifi and in doing so disconnected mine. I called Circet to be told that nope sorry thats not our problem. So in summation Circet technician comes, creats a fault that wasn't there when he came, Circet technician leaves, Circet say nope this isn't our problem good luck and nope we have no official complaints procedure and nope our managers our too busy to deal with an issue we created. Bravo Circet Bravo. Also keep in mind folks we are all paying for this wonderful service by way of NBI.
Absolutely useless planning
First appointment took day off work ,nobody shows , technician or nobody calls ye to say they wont make it . Get the run around for circet then make another appointment , yep nobody shows , no calls no nothing , eventually get someone to tell me tech will ring me . Yet another day taken off from work . Now tells me he propably wont make it ... Ridiculous shit overall service . Thanx
Solar PV installation
I recently go solar panels installed in my home by Circet, From beginning to end I found the whole experience fantastic, from the Girls on the phone to the guy who came out to do the survey, very professional and were on hand to answer any Questions. On the day of the install the Electricians and roofers arrived at 8am, they were done by 3pm, no mess, you wouldn't even know they had been there and walked me through everything on the App etc. Would highly recommend them, fantastic service and brilliant team of installers and admin.
Engineer sent by BT
Engineer sent by BT, most patronising condescending 'engineer' ive met, spoke to me like I was 5 and an unhelpful manner and tone. Asked him to leave and showed him the door, wouldn't recommend Circet based on this experience
Circet installer just trespassed on my property
A man from Circet just came round the back of my house in Kirkcaldy and accessed my garden without permission. He then proceeded to lay some kind of cable. I had previously heard the doorbell ring but I couldn’t get to the door. If he didn’t believe permission was NECESSARY, why did he bother? THIS IS TRESPASSING!!! Circet just broke the law.
Cancelled my broadband completely
Cancelled my broadband completely. Four times they cancelled and same today. Told they had no one in my area as person absent. Yet two vans of them managed to connected my neighbour beside me. Appalling service,
Don’t trust these people they don’t care about you.
I have experienced one of their fitters driving and from that experience I’d stay well away, 40+MPH down a narrow road by an infant school when the parents were collecting their children.
No regard for anyone, being a hot Friday afternoon I imagine he wanted to get to the pub regardless of the cost.
The engineer (James Bradshaw) turned up…
The engineer (James Bradshaw) turned up for my early morning appointment on time and was very professional and polite and my broadband was installed without issue. People are very quick to complain but slow to praise, credit where credit due.
Circet are a joke
I moved into this house three weeks ago and the very first thing I did was arrange internet installation.
Sky told me that fibre needed to be brought to the property first. Fair enough. Circet came out, ran the fibre outside the house, and told me it would be about another two weeks before they install it to the house.
Fast forward two weeks. The engineer is scheduled to arrive before 4pm. No sign of him. I ring the company and they tell me they'll try to contact him. He eventually shows up at 4:15pm only to tell me he can't do the installation because he needs a "Bracket 57" to run the fibre into the house and he doesn't have one.
Then comes the best part.
He tells me he's actually the same engineer who ran the fibre to outside the property two weeks ago and that he had already informed the company he needed this bracket, so he has no idea why they sent him out.
Naturally, I wasn't impressed. After already waiting weeks, I was now being told it could be another two weeks before someone returned with the correct equipment.
So I got onto the company and gave them the full story. They contacted the engineer and checked his notes from the original visit. Turns out he never recorded any requirement for a bracket at all. He never put it in his notes, never flagged it, never told anyone. When they challenged him on it, he disputed it until they told him they were literally looking at his notes and would happily send him screenshots.
In other words, the entire delay was caused by his mistake, and then he tried to cover it up.
After more phone calls and a lot of pushing, they eventually found an engineer with the required bracket. My reward? Another 10 day wait for installation.
So here I am, over three weeks after moving in, still without broadband. I work from home and have been surviving on my phone hotspot the entire time. It's unreliable, slow, and absolutely not what I should be dealing with after multiple missed opportunities to get this sorted.
To top it all off, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the customer service representative told me, "This isn't something a supervisor would usually handle."
I had to point out that, usually, engineers don't turn up to jobs without the equipment they need, fail to record critical information, and then try to blame someone else for the resulting delays.
I'm now waiting for a supervisor to call me back.
Absolutely appalling service from start to finish.
**Update:** After countless phone calls and a lot of persistence on my part, Circet have managed to bring the installation date forward from the following Monday to this coming Monday.
While I appreciate that someone has finally stepped in to improve the situation, it shouldn't have taken repeated complaints and escalations to fix a problem that was caused by their own engineer in the first place.
The fact remains that the original delay was entirely avoidable. The engineer failed to record that additional equipment was required, then claimed he had already reported it when he hadn't. As a result, I've been left waiting weeks for an installation that should have been completed much sooner.
Credit where it's due for finding an earlier appointment, but the overall experience has still been incredibly frustrating and far below the standard I'd expect.

Great work today by Davy and James in Nenagh. Accomplished what others failed to do. Thank you for a job well done
Thank You Jamie and Brad for an impeccable service
Read loads of negative reviews BUT my installation was amazing ! I cant thank Jamie and Brad enough as they were at all times professional and kept me up to date on install. Yes there was a teething issue but it was quickly resolved and ive gone from 26Mb download to over 140 Mb.
Whilst I understand some may have issues my install was faultless.
Thank u lads
Someone at Sky needs to read this
Someone at Sky needs to take responsibility for using Circet to install their internet. The Circet guys arrived to install fibre internet to our next door neighbour. In doing so they snapped our fibre optic cable at the shared junction box. They refused to admit they had done the damage and became rude and aggressive when I told them it couldn’t have been anyone else as our internet went down as they were working in the junction box. I spoke to their supervisor when he arrived and he simply wasn’t interested. I phoned the company offices in Dublin. I was told that they couldn’t do anything and I should contact my own internet provider! (BT). When the Open-reach engineer came to repair it the following day, he showed me where the Circet guys had seemingly attached a rope to my fibre cable to pull their conduit through the channel, thereby snapping it. You only have to read all the negative reviews here on Trust Pilot to know that this is an all-round appalling company. Knowing that Sky are using them for installation would be enough to choose an alternative. If others are thinking the same, it must surely be costing Sky significant revenue.
