Great servicing and delicious cake

The lady who runs this shop was so helpful and accomodating. We needed the cake the next day as we were staying locally for the weekend & she had it ready, on time & with lovely personalised trimmings. The cake was very fresh & tasty with high quality ingredients.

The cake was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Bought from the store in Doncaster and it was carefully crafted. It also tasted amazing! So soft and flavourful and my partner was more than happy with her surprise cake

Recently purchased two cakes for birthday celebrations.... excellent service they looked great and tasted great also will definitely be a returning customer. 10/10

Just been in & bought 4 different cakes, for my friends to try them & myself, these cakes are absolutely delicious, I honestly couldn’t pick a favourite as all were tasty, nice & light sponge,plenty of toppings , my friends loved them. Will be back definitely.

I got our anniversary cake a few days ago, and it was the best thing I’ve tasted. It wasn’t too sweet either, so it wasn’t sickly! It was even made for the next day.

I ordered a cake from cakebox for my husbands 30th birthday due to past reviews and turned out to be my worst nightmare. The top layer and bottom had slipped off and separated I had to push the cake back into place and fix the entire icing myself to make it look decent it looked like a mess. When I did that I realised that the cake wasn't cut and layered equally hence it slipped off and destroyed. I contacted justeat for a compensation they offered zero help after contacting them multiple times. No more cakebox or justeat. Useless customer service

When I had first started buying from cakebox, the cakes were always so fresh. But recently id bought a bento box and the cupcakes were quite dry.The cream in the cake that came with it was completely old and I could taste that it was spoilt.This isn't the first time I've experienced this from cakebox.Its happened multiple times.

I order a birthday cake online for collection from the Camberley store for a 12pm collection. They call me at 11:30 asking if i can go to a different store to collect (around 10miles away) I said no. They then tell me to collect it at 2pm now since they won't have it ready. Bear in mind this is a birthday cake for a 2pm party. I then go in at 2pm to collect and the worker says its not here and to come back in 10 mins. I then come back in 10mins and she says "oh.. you came back" as if it was a surprise. The lady says the driver on his way, after around an hour of going back and forth i finally collect the cake at after 3pm, and the lady and cakebox delivery worker find the whole thing funny and were laughing when I complained to them.

in short... AVOID CAKEBOX LIKE THE PLAGUE.

They are franchises with absolutely ZERO quality control from headoffice.

These cakes are amazing! I stumbled on a local branch when I wanted some sweet treats for visitors coming over, I bought a couple of slices of the cookie crumble - OMG! It’s so good and the slices are huge! It’s my new obsession (my waist line is not happy!) I’ve bought cake slices for friends to try, just because, and as part of gifts and they never disappoint. They also do this really cute and yummy cupcake box selection and the inside of the box says ‘a box full of happiness’ so cute for a gift idea and seriously true lol!

Don’t be fooled by thinking you can only go here for an actual full size cake for an occasion - go treat yourself to a random slice of cake just because!

From booking on line to collecting your order the whole thing was seamless.

I ordered a custom cake from Cake Box (Order
#623795) five days in advance to celebrate my wife's birthday, choosing their best delivery option specifically to avoid any delays. I also arranged balloons — the whole thing was meant to be a surprise, since I was away from London that day.

On the day of delivery, I got an email saying they'd tried calling my wife but she hadn't answered. I called her straight away and she confirmed no call had come through. She called their office to follow up, and within about 10 minutes of that email, was told she'd have to come and collect the cake herself. The staff member was rude and kept pressuring her to cancel the order without even knowing what had been ordered, even though it was a fully customized cake.

It became clear they simply hadn't got the order ready in time and were covering for it. They cancelled the order, and I still haven't received a refund. The money isn't really the point — this was a surprise for a moment that only comes once a year, and that moment is gone now. Very disappointed, and I won't be ordering from Cake Box again.

Lovely cake and service. I purchased a 10 inch Vitoria sponge with fresh fruits. The cake was gone in a moment. Everyone loved it. The cake was ready on the same day I ordered it and the staff were kind and friendly.

I bought cake on 13 August it was excellent experience. ordered online it was on time .
taste was very nice not too sweet I like that .

I have had a few cakes from here, this is the first one i purchased myself for my partners Birthday. They are phenomenal, it doesn’t matter which one you pick. They aren’t your average cake, forget these large supermarket ones, they pale in comparison. Enjoy a light, beautiful cake from Cake box. The best cakes in the U.K that i have had.

Ordered a red velvet with hazelnut cake for my 60th birthday from Cake box. Unfortunately, the delivery driver fell and damaged the cake. He was very apologetic and called the shop to see if the could replace the damaged cake. A few hours later we had a new cake! It was delicious! Very pleased with the customer service and cake!
