Tesla Model Y – Extremely Disappointing Quality and Reliability
My experience with the Tesla Model Y has been extremely disappointing. The build quality and materials feel far below what I would expect from a vehicle in this price range.
The car has developed persistent squeaking and rattling noises, and the overall body and interior quality feels cheap. These issues make the driving experience frustrating, especially considering the premium price of the vehicle.
Another major concern is the mileage/range. I have noticed situations where the displayed mileage appears to change unexpectedly, including around software updates, so I strongly recommend owners keep track of their mileage and monitor it carefully.
The battery range is also a serious disappointment. With the A/C running, the practical range can drop dramatically, and in my experience, it can feel like the battery doesn’t even provide 100 miles of usable driving under certain conditions.
Overall, I expected much better build quality, materials, reliability, and real-world range from a Tesla Model Y. Unfortunately, this vehicle has been one of my most disappointing car purchases. Tesla needs to seriously improve its quality control and address these recurring issues.
