DEPOSIT SCAMMERS – AVOID THIS COMPANY

I rented a larger car from Car Net for the weekend, and this was hands down the worst rental experience I’ve ever had.

At pickup, the agent marked the fuel tank as full. When I started the car, it was already one bar less. I immediately reported it, and the staff member even took a photo and promised to upload it to the booking. I returned the car a day earlier with exactly the same fuel level, but of course, that photo was never uploaded to the system. I had to spend time proving my case with my own picture and making them call their helpline to fix their own error.

Even after the car was confirmed as perfect in the return report, I discovered something much worse: instead of blocking my deposit as they claimed, they had actually charged it to my card on the day of pickup. Their policy says the deposit should be returned within 14 days — but I was left chasing them for 20 days.

During this time, I was repeatedly told to “check with my bank,” despite me explaining the situation again and again. I sent multiple escalation emails asking for management involvement — all ignored. They kept telling me they would check with “billing” and never once came back with an update. Finally, after I called again in frustration, the agent casually admitted that the refund was done that same day while I was on the phone. She even sent proof, which clearly showed they had just processed it right then. Meaning: for weeks, they were lying to me about “checking with billing.”

To make matters worse, not once in this whole fiasco did anyone at Car Net apologize or take responsibility. No ownership. No professionalism. Just endless stalling and dishonesty.

⚠️ This company is a complete scam when it comes to deposits. They take your money instead of blocking it, ignore you for weeks, and only act when you threaten or push hard. Absolutely disgraceful behavior.

Avoid Car Net at all costs.
