I started SpanishVIP with absolutely no Spanish background. Just a will to learn. I have been working with group and individual class teachers here for a few years, and all my professors have been fantastic. Daniela is no exception. Daniela is my third individual class teacher. She affords me plenty of time for both conversational practice and instructional work in every class. We only speak Spanish in the class. Daniela puts a lot of time and effort into every lesson, and sometimes if my questions take us in another direction, she turns on a dime and switches to a different lesson. Her grammar explanations are thorough and easily understood with plenty of added resources. She has remarkable patience and will repeat and review as necessary. I love love love my classes. They are my favorite part of the week.

SpanishVIP and their classes are the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. I have always wanted to take lessons, but it seemed too daunting. When I got up the courage to try this program, I didn't even know the basics. I was timid and embarrassed. Now I am on my 3rd year of lessons. I speak only spanish in my classes with my teacher, Karen, who makes the class so fun and exciting. I learn about the spanish-speaking coutries, their cultures, histories, and current events. We listen to accents and colloquialisms from different countries, read spanish stories, and practice to improve my speaking abilities. Karen gives me a ton of helpful feedback. We go at my rate, and if I am struggling with a concept she always has charts and slides that give clear explanations to help me get unstuck. I love these classes. SpanishVIP gave me the courage to travel to spanish speaking countries, converse with people who live there, and make new friends. Thanks to SpanishVIP and Karen, I have a whole new world that is open to me.
