Dear Wim,
We’re very sorry to hear about your frustration and truly appreciate you sharing your experience.
We’d like to clarify that DroidKit can unlock Android devices, but there are two different unlock modes, which apply to different devices:
1. Unlock and Erase Data
This mode removes the screen lock by erasing all data on the device. It supports most Android phones, including Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, and others running Android 5 or later.
2. Unlock Without Data Loss
This option is available only for certain early Samsung models (Android 5 and above). It removes the lock screen while keeping data intact. Supported models include specific Galaxy S, Note, and Tab series.
During the unlocking process, DroidKit clearly displays on-screen prompts indicating whether data will be erased before you proceed. If you do not wish to erase your data, you can stop the process at that stage without continuing.
We sincerely apologize if this was not clear enough beforehand and for any disappointment this caused. There is absolutely no intention to mislead users. Our goal is to provide transparent tools and clear choices based on device compatibility.
If DroidKit did not help in your situation, please contact our support team at cs@imobie.com. We’ll be happy to assist further. If we’re unable to resolve the issue, we will process a refund according to our refund policy to fully protect your rights.
Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us improve both our product and communication.
Kind regards,
Your iMobie Team
