Delighted with the Service
I was late with my CT600 because I used to file it jointly with the Accounts to Companies House.
Co House still accepted my abridged accounts but I had to find an online CT100 filer.
I submitted an email to TaxCalc two weeks ago for the Corporation Tax 12 package but they never replied.
Anxious to avoid a fine I found Simple Company Tax and they an online demo into which you can enter your real figures, current year and preceding and everything was great so I instantly enrolled to submit and it was as they say "simple". FortunatelyI did have a Government ID for this company and it filed and was accepted right away.
I need to check with Simply to see if they have a multi-company filing service at a discount.
Delighted with the service.

No need to put off using a third party interface . . .
I had been putting off using a new interface but I should not have been concerned. The wizard was very simple to use, in fact the process was probably more simple than the former government one. For example many of the fields are pre-populated. And at least one section has been simplified.
Having just used it I cannot think of any ways my experience could have been improved. Everything about the process from first getting to the website to finishing and further looking around the platform was smooth, logical, good looking and pleasing.
And of course the price is currently the best on the market. Hopefully Simple Company Tax will be able to keep their costs down, grow their customer base and therefore keep the price down.
I have reported three of the 1 star reviews. One for saying it is expensive when it is the cheapest. I guess the reviewer just did not like having to pay. That is not a valid criticism. We all have to pay now.
And two of the 1 star reviews were complaining that we have to pay now. That is not Simple Company Tax's fault. That was clearly a government decision.
Trustpilot needs to strike off non-relevant reviews complaining about something else.
Well done Simple Company Tax for getting everything right first time thus allowing me to submit my company tax & CT600 right first time.

software sllowed filing with turnover field clear
I entered some field I did not know about after checking the no income from property the software told to clear a number of field to continue. I must have had a moment because one was my turnover.
Having followed the instructions my filing went ahead with no turn over figures. which should not be possible.

We’re sorry for the confusion caused by the instructions about clearing fields and the frustration this has caused.
HMRC’s guidance states that Operational activities do not necessarily require sales https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/business-income-manual/bim80505 . We have customers who are trading without making sales during the accounting period, which is why we allow zero turnover.
To help catch accidental omissions, we show a preview in the wizard and provide draft documents before submitting. We appreciate that these checks did not prevent the problem here, and we will look into how to prevent similar errors in future.
There is no additional charge for submitting an amendment to correct incorrect figures. Please contact us so we can help you correct your filing.
