GoGuardian absolutely sucks. It is a prime example of invasive spyware that not only spies on students at schools, but also at home and any place they bring their Chromebook. Due to how powerful Goguardian is, it feels more like the internet version of North Korea restrictions rather than staying focused on actually being productive. The teachers can also control your screen, lock your device, and do anything they want to it. Due to the massive output of control, it slows down the devices a lot, and just makes it more challenging to use, adding to the inconvenience. Honestly, I think how bad Goguardian is just depends on how it is used. Like there could be hackers or other shady people taking advantage of this sorry excuse for an educational tool to see children. Another thing is that when you go on the actual website, all of the reviews are just teachers saying how easy Goguardian is to use and how much control they have over the students. Like there is not a SINGLE review on there that talks about an educator saying about the experience of another student. ZERO. The only audience that these spyware give full access to are teachers and hackers. On the other hand, the students get the worst treatment and can't even do anything about it. Additionally, the only reason why Goguardian is legal in the first place is because these shady school districts force students to use their laptops just so they can install this spyware on their computers see their every move and their webcams. In conclusion... BAN GOGUARDIAN FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH!

This excuse of a "program" actual spying machine like I mean my teacher wont leave me alone 2 seconds after I open something with "people" in it and I mean WHY specifically the word "people" is like we're being racist to our own people and don't get me started on the randomly blocked webs that I actually need to do my work and, i'm not talking about ai for those how are reading I'm talking about actual things I use when I was in elementry. My school implemented this stupid whatever this year and I couldn't hate anything more in my life. I didn't chose to live in 1984 so why am I Winston Smith? Other than that I genuinely can't do anything on my Chromebook anymore, did they forget that kids actually use these for things other than school????? Overall I hope this company bankrupts so I can have freedom to use what I want

They spy on you even after school and they are allowed to access basically everything. It's like that meme where big brother is watching you, DO NOT get this crap it's so ass.

I remember when i had this at school and it made my computer slow but my sister was telling me that a kid who was at home on a school day was simply playing cool math and the teacher pulled up his screen to the entire class and outed him this is just plain spyware for teachers it is is a dictators wet dream.

the new update sucks. well the whole thing sucks in general. as a student, it is very invasive and makes me feel uncomfortable just by using my school chromebook. my parents are strict and would take away all of my electronic devices, and the school chromebook was my last resort if i want any sort of entertainment. i cannot browse in peace without worrying about going into school the next day and getting in trouble just because youtube shorts recommended me something questionable WHICH I CANNOT PREDICT. it has timestamps of all of my attempt to 'get into a blocked site', and it makes me feel way worse than how it sounds

The fact you peices of shite allow teachers to watch me constantly is beyond 1984. The fact they are able to track where my home is, is ridiculous, same with the fact you flag me for researching historical events is even more. Down with GoGaurdian

I hate this dumb app. my school uses program and EVERYTHING IS BLOCKED. wanna play a cool game? BLOCKED. wanna search on YouTube? BLOCKED. wanna watch YouTube shorts? BLOCKED. EVERYTHING is BLOCKED!!!!!!!!!!! I cant do ANYTHING. at least let us use it at home bro, this is so dumb. btw all the schools I've been to use goguardian, Ive seen this app from kindergarten to 6th grade

Wanna know why i hate this? As a 6th grader going into school, this extention has GENUINELY frustrated me to my core. Scratch? Blocked. Literally any game website? Blocked. Most even HALF Enjoyable websites are blocked by this atrocious add-on! Plus, if you use your own school account at home, A TEACHER CAN GENUINELY VIEW YOUR ACTIONS AT ANY TIME THEY WANT! Its quite frankly Spy-Ware!

If i could give this software a 0/5 I would because this is not an internet filtering device, it is a form of spyware disguised for "school monitooring", it is an invasion of privacy and it block educational websites, too. I was "restriced" for searching unblocked at home during this summer break when they shouldn't even be monitoring me at this moment. Whatever youve heard about this software being good is a straight up lie, and as I say this with a full heart, ban this software from any school. Ive had too many problems with this software since day 1 and I still hate it to this day. It doesn't even help with the monitoring and there are still so many problems with it that I can't even articulate properly without trying to get mad. This is why you should bring a personal laptop with you to school so then they can't force go guardian on your laptop because im pretty sure that would be a crime tampering with personal property. To sum up my review of this terrible software. This is terrible terrible, cant say Ive had any good experience with this. 0/10 0 stars. **** you go guardian
