We came to Bureaucracy to help streamline the visa application process for us. With requirements and interpretations of those requirements changing frequently, we wanted someone that would be able to help make sure our application would have every document that was needed. Bureaucracy did an amazing job! Fatima was our advisor, and she kept us up to date as new requirements came up. She helped guide us through the process of figuring out which documents from our home country would work best to meet the requirements when things weren't 100% clear. Our experience with Bureaucracy was good.

I'll admit, in the beginning, I was worried. I started the coordination with the team, over a year ago. This wasn't just another application, it was a life-changing decision.

But even with planning, something will always go haywire, our timeline was thrown off because of the situation in the Middle East. On top of that, we arrived right before a long holiday of Easter.

Landed in Madrid in April on a tourist visa, only to discover that we were missing documents that still needed legalization. Everything seemed to happen all at once. We were searching for long-term accommodation, supporting our older child with his first few weeks in culinary studies, trying to secure a school for our daughter (thankfully she was accepted into a Concertado just two months before the school year ended) and racing against the clock with the 90-day Schengen rule. If we had to leave Spain and wait another 90 days outside Schengen, our daughter would be missing the start of school on September.

It was a stressful situation with very little room for delays. The 90-day leeway was to end by the end of June and we have to wait for the decision before we even attempt to exit. That too will mean, leaving my teenage son alone for 3 months (he has a study visa). He might be happy with that, but I certainly will be anxious.

Our application was submitted on the first week of June. At that point, all we could do was wait.

Despite all the uncertainty, I was in constant communication with Stephanie. I trusted her and the Bureaucracy team with their expertise. Whenever my anxiety got the better of me, I reminded myself that we had done everything we could, and honestly, I prayed a lot to stop my mind from spiraling into worst-case scenarios.

Then, on the third week June, there was a feedback from UGE about my police clearance's translation. As a protocol, Stephanie informed, and she assured me that it'll be handled from her side and there is nothing else that is required from me but to just enjoy Spain and time with my children. She will let me know once the approval is received.

In the first week of July, we received the news we had been hoping for, my Digital Nomad Visa was finally approved.

As I write this, we're waiting for our daughter's approval, but I'm genuinely calm about it. Since my application as the principal applicant has already been approved, it feels more like a formality than a source of worry. I can understand the delay given the busy-ness of the government with the influx of immigration processes in the country.

One thing that made the biggest difference throughout this journey was Stephanie's constant reassurance. She was always patient, responsive, and confident, which helped calm my anxious thoughts. Knowing that there is a whole team that supports us, from start to finish, made this overwhelming process feel much more manageable. The dashboard, the process, the communication, it's worth every penny.

We applied for the Spanish Non-Lucrative Visa. I have an anxiety disorder so I wanted a little extra help and oversight to make sure we did it right. The first step was an online meeting with an intake specialist. She explained what they do, how they help and what is their process.

The next step was the introductory meeting with two professionals. They told us about the process and answered all our questions. One of the two was the specialist assigned to our case. During the process we were able to communicate with her with any help we needed, and she would review our documents and let us know if they were okay or tell us what needed to be added.

When all the documents were complete, they sent what needed to be translated to a translator. Then they compiled a package. Before our appointment with the consulate, we had an online meeting to answer any last questions, go over the application and give us a little pep talk.

At the end, our process went smoothly. We didn't get any questions from the consulate, and our visa was approved. I am very thankful for their help and look forward to meeting with them again during the renewal.

Our experience with Bureaucracy.es and our advisor, Stephanie, was very positive overall. Applying for Spain's Non-Lucrative Visa can be a stressful process, and having a knowledgeable resource available throughout made the experience much less overwhelming.

The client dashboard was one of the strongest aspects of the service. It helped us stay organized, keep track of required documents, and follow the overall progress of our application. The website was easy to navigate, document uploads were straightforward, and the payment process was simple and seamless. We also appreciated being able to track our progress throughout the process.

Stephanie was professional, knowledgeable, and generally responsive to our questions. The guidance provided about the consulate requirements and necessary documentation gave us confidence that we were on the right track. Having someone available to answer questions and clarify requirements significantly reduced the stress of navigating the visa process.

While the dashboard itself is excellent, we felt some of its features were not fully utilized. For example, there is a comments feature associated with uploaded documents that was never used during our application. Even brief comments such as "Document looks good," "Approved," or "Awaiting certified translation" would have provided valuable reassurance and prevented unnecessary uncertainty.

Similarly, there were occasions when tasks continued to appear as "Pending" after we had already uploaded the requested documents. We later learned they remained pending because additional items, such as official translations, were still required. This would have been a perfect opportunity to use the comments feature to explain why the task remained open rather than leaving us wondering if something had been missed.

Another suggestion would be to expand the "Details" section for uploaded documents. Some document categories included helpful guidance, but additional examples or sample templates for documents such as the medical certificate, resignation letter, and letter of intent would have been extremely beneficial. Having examples would likely reduce questions from clients and increase confidence that documents are being prepared correctly.

One final suggestion would be regarding the completed document package we received before our appointment. The packet contained everything we needed and was organized into clearly labeled sections, which we appreciated. There was a cover page listing the sections included, but we think it could be made even more welcoming with a brief introductory letter or message—something as simple as, "Congratulations! You've gathered all of your required documents. Here's your application packet for your appointment." A small personal touch like that would make the packet feel a little more special after all the work that goes into preparing an application.

Clearly defined tabs separating each section would also have been very helpful, especially during the appointment when we needed to quickly locate specific documents. We ended up adding our own tabs beforehand, which made pulling documents much more efficient. None of these suggestions were necessary for the success of the application, but we think they would add a nice finishing touch to an already professional service and provide clients with a little extra confidence heading into such an important appointment.

Overall, we would absolutely recommend Bureaucracy.es to anyone applying for a Spanish visa. The dashboard, organization, expertise, and support throughout the process provided tremendous value and helped make a complicated process much more manageable. We also believe that making fuller use of the dashboard's communication features and adding a few thoughtful finishing touches to the final document package would elevate an already excellent service to an exceptional one.

Worth every penny. We worked with Marcela and had an amazing experience. She was there to guide my family through every step of the process. She is an expert in this area and a true professional . Their mistake cost us!

We hired bureaucracy.es for a digital nomad visa for 2 people at a cost of 2518 euros. For this, they told us which documents we had to prepare. It felt very disorganized and confusing to know which documents were outstanding. I had to make my own tracking list and keep it up to date.

They gave us inaccurate information a few times. Once when it came to getting the fingerprints taken for a police check. They told us that we can go to a police station so we wasted our time going to two different ones and being sent away, then we learned that we had to go to the consulate to get a letter of introduction before we could get our fingerprints taken. Then they told us that we need to get a declaration of entry and when we went to the police station they sent us away again.

The most frustrating thing that they did was cost us hundreds of euros in additional translation costs. We had some documents uploaded but were waiting until the last minute for some other ones. They decided not to send anything for translation until they were all there. Incurring 50% rush fees on the translations. The largest and mostly costly documents were sitting with them for months already.

How was I supposed to know that they weren't getting them translated already? Or that their translator considers anything faster than 2 weeks a rush job? Or that this mistake would cost me an additional 700 euros?

I am really disappointed in this whole process and I think you can find someone else to work with.

Stephanie Valencia was just amazing throughout our NLV visa application process. Through every step of the journey she was very professional, highly knowledgeable, and always positive. Our visas were successfully approved and we were told by the BLS agent that our our applications were very well prepared.
If we have some feedback is more about the website itself, it is a great tool and was one factor for us to use Bureaucracy over other services. But the application may be more user friendly if it had a checklist with timelines and statuses, making it more visual and easier to track (we had to keep ours in Excel to help keep us on track). Multi-user sign-in for the same application would also be a nice feature to have.

Marcela was a tremendous help to us with our first renewal. We were given a list of what was needed, we gathered all the items, and uploaded them on the dashboard without worrying that we did something wrong or forgot something. Excellent service!

Visa applications are long and with the Spain DNV especially you need to be ontop of your game with the right documents. Bureaucracy.es made it easy every step of the way to know the right docs to get. Marcela was amazing especially since she was asked to help me few weeks to my submission. We engaged Bureaucracy in late November 2025, appeared for our BLS appointments in late March, and received our approved visas in early June. Bureaucracy did a wonderful job disambiguating a fairly complex set of requirements and helped successfully guide us through a couple of potential roadblocks. We found all three case managers we worked with, Carlotta, Gabriella, and Ana, and Stephanie (who ran our pre-visa appt call) all to be extremely knowledgeable, and in nearly all cases very responsive to our questions via email.
