I was delighted with the courtesy,patience and knowledge shown by Steve who dealt with my call and as a retired GP I could not fault his handling of tricky matters such as:"why was I on a statin when my Cholesterol was 3 before treatment ?" From my reading and discussion with my GP it seems that current evidence supports this management following a TIA and it may be that your algorithm should reflect this. It was recommended by Dr Martin James of the Stroke Unit RD&E before he knew my Cholesterol level.
