Mohammad Nofal liked thisMohammad Nofal liked thisVery excited about what we announced today for Copilot, Microsoft IQ, Work IQ because it will empower teams to focus on what's unique to their business instead of having to rebuild the undifferentiated pieces that make AI work for them. Work IQ gives Copilot and agents an understanding of how work happens inside an organization. It brings together the people you work with, the conversations you're having, the documents you're creating, the meetings you're attending, and the workflows that keep things moving forward. Today we're extending that foundation with business data and processes from Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, allowing Copilot and agents to reason across both workplace and business context. This matters because work rarely lives in a single system. A customer renewal, a supplier issue, a product launch, or a service escalation can span email, meetings, documents, CRM records, and business workflows. Bringing those signals together gives Copilot and agents a much more complete understanding of what's happening, what matters, and what should happen next. We've spent the last few years building toward a world where AI can understand not only the information inside an organization, but also how the organization actually works. The combination of workplace intelligence, business intelligence, and organizational context creates a shared foundation that can be reused across Copilot and agents. Work IQ is a central part of that foundation. I'm particularly optimistic about what this means for builders. Instead of recreating context, business vocabulary, workflows, and actions for every new agent, organizations can define them once and make them available wherever work gets done. Mohammad Nofal liked thisMohammad Nofal liked thisI wanted to announce that I’m headed back to Microsoft to work as a Business Architect for Microsoft IQ. I feel like I’ve been on a long journey since leaving my role as one of the leaders of the Global Black Belt team. I spent a year building and leading a scrappy, badass technical sales team in Digital Enterprise Sales at Microsoft. Learning about scale and testing my own theories on building and leading teams. Being passionate enough to write my book on it. I then went to AWS and led a Solutions Architecture team for Insurance for over a year. I have always been impressed by the AWS SAs - their breadth and depth of knowledge across such a huge product set. That brand is well earned - that are super smart, hardworking, and customer obsessed. If you have seen Ted Lasso - the story about a coach that after years of coaching football in America moves to England to coach Soccer - I’d say that is kind of how I felt at times. It has been transformational - it forced me to really dig deep into a different perspectives with a different cloud. I am such a huge believer of hands on learning - I decided to use AWS services and build out an idea that I had been thinking about for a long time. I recently founded a side-hustle: Two Out Barrels. This is an AWS hosted AI analytics platform for prep baseball players. I saw a data gap for great baseball players and decided to do something about it. Now I am headed back to Microsoft into a new role focusing on strategy and GTM for Microsoft IQ. I won’t speculate too much but it seems like a role built around my strengths and passion. It also feels like I’m headed back home! Finally - the best part of any journey is the people. From my crew in GBB, to the amazing team in DES, (both have been fighting to get me back to Microsoft for a year) and all the folks that mentored and supported me during my time at AWS. I am blessed to be richer in knowledge, experience, and most of all in friends. There are way too many people to thank without leaving people out - just know I am humbled and very appreciative of everything people do for me, just your time, presence, and friendship truly mean the world to me. I hope I can return that favor!

The timing matters. Vision 2030 continues to drive the Kingdom's digital transformation, and Microsoft's new cloud datacenter region in Saudi Arabia opens in November 2026. Together, they give organizations a real opportunity to modernize and innovate with confidence. In this expanded scope, I will work directly with our customers and partners on the support and services that help them: 🔹 Accelerate AI adoption with measurable business impact 🔹 Build on a secure, resilient, and compliant foundation 🔹 Put strong governance models in place for responsible, sustainable growth I will keep serving our customers and partners across Africa. Twelve years in enterprise AI and cloud have convinced me the hard part is almost never the technology. It's getting a room to agree on what problem they're actually solving. Everything else follows from that. New music, same dancer — and happy to learn new steps. What convinced me wasn't the org chart, it was the conversations. People who clearly care about the work, about the field, and about each other. That is rarer than it should be, and it's the environment I do my best work in. The focus is the people who sit in front of customers — making them sharper, more confident, better equipped for the conversations that actually decide deals. Coaching is the part of this job I would happily do for free, so I'm starting where I should: listening first, opinions second.
