EDB's Chief Legal Officer, Rob Feldman, dug into that question on the main stage at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit, as global leaders gathered in NYC for the UN General Assembly and Climate Week. Rob covered more questions a lot of companies are avoiding: what happens when AI does something we didn't intend, how we keep control of data and privacy, and how we handle the energy demands AI is creating. He also shared how EDB is approaching this through our own Principles for Responsible AI and AI governance work. It's a good reminder that "responsible AI" has to be more than a slogan. Real structure needs to be behind it. It’s not every day you watch your company’s CLO join the conversation on a global stage like this.

NHN Cloud Completes Full System Migration to Cloud for SR... Zero Booking Errors During Chuseok NHN Cloud completed the full migration of SR's integrated information system to the cloud, including public-facing services such as the reservation and ticketing system and internal work systems. This three-year project, started after winning the 2023 contract, focused on improving system architecture, scalability, security, and backup environments using a customized public and private cloud model tailored to SR's operational needs. During the 2025 Chuseok reservation period, the cloud system demonstrated significant performance improvements. SR was able to scale web servers and application servers up to 30 times their usual capacity, resulting in zero booking errors, no server overloads, and no service interruptions. Compared to the previous year, reservation waiting times decreased by 50%, and complaints dropped by 65%. The migration also reduced costs and manpower associated with server scaling. Previously, preparing for peak reservation seasons required the rental and installation of physical servers a month in advance. Post-migration, server scaling was achieved quickly without additional equipment or compatibility issues, lowering expenses despite increased server use. Additionally, access speed improved, with main page response times reduced by about 25%, enhancing user experience. An SR official expressed satisfaction with the improved quality of services delivered during Chuseok and highlighted plans for further collaboration with NHN Cloud to advance the AI transformation of SR's systems. NHN Cloud’s CEO emphasized the significance of this project as the first public institution B2C system migration to the cloud in South Korea and pledged continued support for public institutions to enhance administrative operations and public service convenience. #CloudComputing #SouthKorea https://lnkd.in/gydZpgPj
