Cost was reasonable (cheaper than most), service was perfect on every call and especially the on boarding and transfer of my existing websites. ScaleHosting offers many features and is well documented. I would recommend this team to anyone who needs a managed VPS service (and probably all of their tiers of service.

I Recommend Them
ScalaHosting is a solid, affordable hosting service. Their support is excellent and my email and web sites load quickly. Some of my pages have been online for over 30 years and there are some inconsistencies between their code and Scala's ability to host them. But I've found workarounds. I recommend them.

Scalahost really dug into my problem
The scalahosting agents really dug into the log information to determine what was happening (a spammer had logged into one of my email accounts and sent out lots of messages, many of which bounced back to me). I thought I had just been spoofed, but this was more serious.

My managed VPS server is frustrating.
My managed VPS server is extremely inconsistent. I don't have much traffic on my sites, but resources are easily tied up and cause performance issues on a daily basis.

Needed a reliable Web hosting service that did not "nickel and dime" me!
The Internet hosting company I started with over 20 years ago began to do "Ala Cart" nickle and dime billing instead of all-in-one. However most importantly I could no longer log-in to my C-panel to make changes / update my web page content. And their customer service which was originally outstanding went the way of so many companies online - it was next to useless! And they were never able to fix my problem of not being able to login into my C-panel! Plus I received a discount for my first year of web hosting Scala-Hosting!

Wish I’d Made the Switch Years Ago
After years and years at a cheap, near-zero support host, I finally bit the bullet and made the switch to Scala. Their team make it super painless. They have been super responsive to every question and they communicate regularly about any server or security issues, usually taking care of them before I’m even aware. And my websites are faster than ever! What I save in cost at that other, cold-colored host I more than lost in stress, site speed, and totally lack of support. Scala is worth every penny!

A good experience hosting all my websites in one place
In my case, when searching for a WordPress hosting solution, I desired the plan that would be able to host all my websites at a reasonable price. The option that I chose was ScalaHosting's Advanced WordPress Hosting for 36 months at $9.95 per month.
It is quite an investment when you are committing for three years. However, I desired a hosting solution for a long time. But the real question was whether or not it was going to work when I am going to have all my websites hosted on this plan.
At the moment, I have no complaints about my choice. All of my websites are hosted by ScalaHosting, and everything works fine. This is the only thing that matters for me – having my websites hosted without having any problems regarding this.
Considering my requirements, the Advanced plan suits me pretty well, and I am pleased with the price I pay for this hosting solution. The review is based on my personal experience of hosting my websites, which turned out to be positive until now.

Quality, speed of support and stability of service
The quality and speed of support is of highest standards. Stability of service is 100%, I have been testing for 10 months now and not one complain from my clients except the normal support issues. I am already expanding resources of VPS and moving to a higher plan to accommodate more clients. Great Quality service without disruptions. Only comment is on high renewal prices of present clients, I wish they would make Promos for them also.

Malware Infiltration, Inadequate Security Response
Recently migrated dozens of installations to Scalahosting from a hosting competitor. Within a month, nearly all websites were infiltrated with malware. The SShield security provided in their systems was ineffective at detecting and removing the malicious files. Support informed us that malware was in fact present after a system scan, of which we were already aware. They then absolved themselves of any responsibility by saying that "not every security tool is going to detect everything," and refused to take any direct action on the malware. They then told us to "contact your developer."
This forced a complete emergency migration back to Scalahosting's competitor our company was exiting, in order to utilize the security tools available in their systems to remediate the security breach. Scalahosting's system security and reaction response was completely inadequate, risking client site integrity and data due to compromised security. Migrating to their systems also resulted in considerable expenditure due to direct cost and lost hours for a negative outcome.
