My order is in limbo - no product, no response.
I placed an order on July 12, 2026. As of September 4, 2026 it still shows on my account as UNFULFILLED. They do not respond to messages left on the website or sent by email. Calls to the 800 number go to voice mail. Zero response.

Absolute garbage clothes
Absolute garbage clothes. All advertised as a US company. Clothing is shipped from China. Fabric and cut is worse quality than Temu or Shein. With the cost of the items I wouldn't waste your money. When you request a refund, you need to return post to the US which costs more than the items you order. Ship from China return to the the US? Don't waste your money.

I ordered three swimsuits from Retro Stage across two orders, paying $109.95 in total. Unfortunately, the sizing was completely off and I was also extremely disappointed with the quality, so I contacted them within their stated returns period to return all three items.
That's when the nightmare started.
Retro Stage told me that their only return address is in the United States and that I must pay the international return postage myself. Their alternative was to offer me just $18 to keep all three unsuitable items.
I followed their return instructions anyway. I repackaged everything and photographed the items, packaging, barcodes, original shipping labels and parcel as requested. When I actually attempted to arrange the return to their US address, I was presented with a total cost of £52.85.
Yes, £52.85 to return three swimsuits.
I went back to Retro Stage explaining the situation and asking for a reasonable solution. Their response was simply that they “do not offer free returns”, that I must cover the return shipping costs, and that they “do not have a return address in the UK.”
What makes this even more frustrating is that Retro Stage's own website states that it has warehouses in the US, Europe and China, yet a UK customer is apparently still required to return unwanted goods all the way to the United States at their own expense.
Furthermore, the merchant information displayed by my UK credit-card provider associates Retro Stage with an address at Monomark House in London. I am NOT suggesting that this is a UK returns warehouse, because I have no evidence that it is. However, it makes the whole situation even more confusing for a UK customer.
I have now raised disputes with my credit-card provider and supplied evidence of my attempts to resolve the matter.
The three items remain unused, packaged and ready to return. I have never refused to return them. I simply do not believe that paying £52.85 to return $109.95 worth of unsuitable clothing internationally is a reasonable solution.
My advice to anyone in the UK considering ordering from Retro Stage is simple: check the returns arrangements very carefully before buying. Had I understood how difficult and potentially expensive returning unsuitable items would be, I would never have ordered.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Retro Stage to UK customers.
UPDATE FOLLOWING RETRO STAGE’S RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW:
I find the response below rather frustrating.
Retro Stage says publicly that it would now like to “look into my case personally” and see whether it can offer a “more reasonable resolution”.
Why now?
I have already contacted your customer service team numerous times. You already have my order numbers, my email address and the full history of this complaint.
I explained that I was quoted £52.85 to return three unsuitable items to the USA. Your response to me privately was perfectly clear: you do not offer free returns, you have no UK return address, and I must pay the international return costs myself.
So there is nothing about your returns process that needs “clarifying” for me. You have already clarified it repeatedly.
What I find disappointing is that a “more reasonable resolution” only appears to have become a possibility after I posted my experience publicly on Trustpilot.
My order numbers are FD967573 and FD967559. You already have all the details and correspondence relating to them.
The items remain unused, packaged and ready to return.
If Retro Stage genuinely wants the opportunity to “make things right”, as stated in its public response, then please do so. I don't need another explanation of your returns policy. I need the reasonable resolution that I repeatedly asked for privately and was refused.
I will happily update this review again if Retro Stage actually resolves the matter.

Ich habe ein 60-er Jahre Kleid für eine Party bestellt und war begeistert. Toller Schnitt, angenehmer Stoff. Bei meiner Größe 36-38 habe ich M bestellt und das kam super hin. Ein Punkt Abzug wegen den schwierigen Retoure-Bedingungen, welche ich zum Glück nicht in Anspruch nehmen musste.

Cute swimsuits, easy exchanges
The website was super cute and easy to follow. I ordered three swimsuits. Wasn't sure how they would fit because according to the size charts, I'm an 1XL in the bust, but a medium in the bottoms. Going with the bigger size was the correct choice, because the bottoms still ended up fitting well. But I accidentally got one in a 2XL instead of all 1XLs. The exchange process wasn't what I was used to with other sites, where you click on your order and they have a return/exchange button. Instead I had to email them, which I wasn't super excited about at first, but they ended up getting back to me super fast and the whole thing was actually super easy!
