Absolutely horrendous customer service! I requested to non-renew my subscription and get a full refund that THEY charged even after I cancelled. Customer service representative was an idiot! I’m going to contact my credit card company and PayPal for assistance! BEWARE of this bunch!! Scammers

Do not use this company they take money on an auto renewal and claim you do not have an account, customer service read from a script and do not have a brain between them. They do not call you back when they say they will and once you provide them with the information they request they still do nothing. 5 hours wasted including calls to the bank and still no resolution. Please avoid.

Terrible rip off, I bought 3 years of separate subscriptions , when I went to enter the 3 years subscriptions it wont accept it until I sign up for another years subscription. I will be report McAfee to the CCPC and I will never use it again, its VPN is useless also. Terrible scammers

Quand on demande le remboursement, ils nous renvoient vers le site marchand qui eux nous renvoient vers McAafee. Bref une belle arnaque, sans compter que le renouvellement automatique est activé d'office.

Terrible service. Uninspected renewals without my permission and taking lots of money from my account. Its hard to get the money back. Its a scam!!!!!

- Installs without your permission
- Eats your computer resources without your knowledge
- Scans your files without asking first
- Lies about functionality

Mcafee
- Installs without your permissions (installed itself when I downloaded acrobat reader)
- eats your computer resources (heavy background resource usage)
- Scans files without asking (first window on my computer is it saying it scanned my computer)
- Lies about functionality (does nothing windows defender cant and advanced system threats slip by anyway)

Overall I have never in my near decade of computer experience had a more consistently useless app. I've given it multiple chances and whether its a client device or my own device it has been nothing but a net negative in speed and stability for something that is less useful for virus protection than windows defender and the sentence "don't download random things off of the internet".

This company is the biggest pain in your butt ever never ever. Will they allow you to cancel your subscription? My subscription was canceled and these guys will not leave you alone. You will get countless emails day after day. You will put them in your spam folder. you will enroll you will do everything you can but the emails just keep coming and coming they multiply this is an antivirus company and they make your life miserable. If you don’t pay up after you cancel they do not stop stay away from these guys. I tell you it’s almost goofy what they do how they don’t stop four months now.

I am very disappointed with the way they deal with there subscriptions, as i tried to end my contact it told me i was due to receive a refund every time i was to end it wait money be in 5 working days i done this 4 times and nothing finally was able to get through chat and they told me something different just wanted my subscription canceled didn't want to use it anymore regardless of the refund so just uninstalled it. just way to many pop ups and scans and upgrade to something it said i was already protected from

OK Been with this firm McAfee for 20++ years - used to be ok, now endles pop ups which I cant get rid off, a log in screen that is designed to confuse and is meaningless save for purchading more unwanted add ins - a purchased email scan that suddenly failed to exist without notification cotign me 100's of hours of time and a failure to be able to contact them. Why am I paying for grief, program destroying pop ups, indeed a service that makes everything much much worse. They should be banned from tradding they are the biggest scam out there!!!!

I was hacked by a virus (ransomware) and after many many calls with McAfee Support I eventually got the official Engineering feedback that MCAfee TOTAL PROTECTION does NOT SCAN MAPPED DRIVES!!!!!!!

UNBELIEVABLE and I escalated this and eventually McAfee Engineeing Support came back to confirm it DOES NOT SCAN MAPPED DRIVES!!!!!

Don't know about virus protection but the actual program is worse than most viruses. Constant interruptions/crashes to games to say nothing in particular, Constant adds for additional McAfee products.

Support is no use at all, they will tell you it is a virus from 3rd party selling McAfee products. If is is a virus (which I seriously doubt) it is a virus they should have blocked!

Product just gets worse each year. This was my last attempt to use them.

DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. they have taken £89.99 from my account even though I did not sign up to it .my bank is looking into the fraud .

Came across a redirect website. It was a fake "your pc has a virus" website. It made itself full screen and everything was flashing red etc. basically a horrible scare tactic, to prey on the elderly or anyone else unknowledgeable about computers. McAfee themselves claim they would never do something like this. However through tracing everything. It's 100% their doing. It redirects to their official website and it's their advert they commissioned and approved. But they will then say it's the fault of the 3rd party advertisers (the ones they pay and control).
Other than their useless antivirus software that just bloats your pc, they're also known to install other programs in 3rd party software to give your computer virus pop ups. McAfee is an unethical company, that preys in people.

I say find some young tech person to help you find a good protection service. I never really had any sense of what they are doing besides collecting my money. TO THIS DAY I am plagued by bogus and legit requests to re-enroll. If they can’t protect your customer info, then how can they protect your computer??!!

Useless customer service. I have about a month left on my subscription, and I never planned to renew. Well, I removed it from my computer today and forfeited the remaining money because of the latest experience. I really needed to talk to a human to fix a scary technical problem. I stayed on hold twice for long periods of time and never got through. I resorted to calling my bank, yes my bank, which I have been with for years. They were familiar with the issue and helped me. I can't believe that I needed my security company but got assistance from the fraud department of my BANK. I hope to never see the McAfee name again.
