Last week, I brought our HUMAIN team together for a CEO Townhall to achieve two important goals: recognize the achievements and contributions delivered in record time in 2025, and clearly set our direction for the upcoming year. As we look to 2026, we will continue to focus on relentless execution and deliver on the major partnerships and projects we initiated in 2025. As the year draws to a close, it invites reflection on an exceptionally eventful time. This year has proven how important vision and alignment are. While transformation is in progress, people do not look for certainty but rather for orientation. Our journey with Vodafone Italia and Fastweb, now united as Fastweb+Vodafone, is such an example of the power of alignment. The integration is progressing according to plan, bringing two strong organisations together around one shared vision and purpose. It also stands as an example of effective leadership that starts with self-leadership: personal responsibility, accountability and resilience, qualities that give orientation in times of change. Leadership is not just another tool. It is an attitude that enables clarity, confidence and empathy. This mindset is also anchored in our common values, “Spark Passion, Aim High & Stand True.” It shapes the way we act personally and as companies and brands, which we refreshed this year. In Switzerland, we invite people to explore technology as a space for growth with our brand promise, “Discover your possibilities.” In Italy, “Together, we are future” stands for unity and shared ambition. The launch of our new cybersecurity and connectivity portfolio, beem, was another important milestone in 2025. It is a service in which security is deeply integrated within our networks and stands as an example of where innovation meets entrepreneurial thinking and responsibility. This year also marked an important step in our deep commitment to corporate responsibility: our first group-wide sustainability strategy, reinforcing our pioneering role and aligning Switzerland and Italy around shared priorities, including a common path towards net-zero carbon emissions by 2035. And then, I concluded the year with a personal highlight: visiting many Swisscom sites across Switzerland in the final weeks of the year. From Basel to Bellinzona, from Geneva to St. Gallen. Through many conversations, a simple truth was confirmed and still cannot be stressed enough: trust requires open and honest communication that provides context and explains things in detail, again and again. To all employees, customers and partners: thank you for your trust and commitment. As we step into 2026, my aspiration is simple: to lead ourselves first, think entrepreneurially, and stay aligned – with each other, our customers and the future ahead. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our clients and partners to our Advisory Boards in Paris. The event started with an insightful conversation between Dominique Senequier, CEO and Founder of Ardian & Mark Benedetti, Executive President at Ardian, moderated by TV Host and Journalist Matthew Gwyther. Together, they reflected on our achievements and outlined the path forward for the year ahead and beyond.
