We have been operating in Indonesia since 2001 and currently have a large portfolio of assets in exploration, production and development. Our strategic presence brings together operational excellence, energy security and long-term development.   The Jangkrik Floating Production Unit is central to this growth, both as a key asset for natural gas and LNG production, and as part of the geographical diversification of our Exploration & Production portfolio.   The creation of Searah, the 50/50 joint venture between Eni and PETRONAS, strengthens our presence in Southeast Asia and opens a new phase of shared growth. It demonstrates how international cooperation and industrial strength help build a more stable global energy system.

Sapukala adds a new deep-water opportunity within an area where we already have a strong exploration position. Located in Indonesia’s Kutei Basin, the block sits alongside acreage we already operate or hold interests in and close to the future North Hub developments operated by Searah, the company owned equally by Eni and PETRONAS. The award, in which we hold a 100% participating interest, follows a joint study with a prominent Indonesian academic institution and participation in the direct offer bid round. With high-quality seismic data already acquired across the area, we can now move quickly to evaluate Sapukala’s exploration potential. https://lnkd.in/ezfF4mGr

Our dual exploration model helps us unlock value from our discoveries earlier by bringing in strategic partners and reducing our equity stakes. We have signed a Feasibility Agreement with PETRONAS to evaluate the development of innovative high-performance biogasoline, building on our Ecofining™ technology and our respective expertise in biofuels and fuel technology. The aim is to assess new solutions from renewable feedstocks for use in motorsport competitions, with the potential to subsequently support the development of commercial products. Signed at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the agreement marks another step forward in our collaboration, advancing biofuel innovation and supporting the progressive decarbonisation of transport. https://lnkd.in/eYdagkuD

Together with The European House-Ambrosetti, we developed a new study on biofuels from renewable-feedstocks, and their potential to help decarbonise transport, contribute to energy security and maintain industrial competitiveness.
