We’re sorry to hear that the sound quality did not meet your expectations. The Rode NT-USB+ is a strong desktop USB microphone, especially for close-range vocal recording, so we understand the comparison if your main priority is pure desktop microphone tone.
AirStudio S1 is designed differently. Its value is not only the microphone itself, but the full mobile recording workflow — wireless monitoring, app control, DSP processing, portable setup, and multiple ways to connect with phones, cameras, livestreaming setups, and DAWs.
That said, sound quality is still very important to us. The final result can vary depending on mic mode, gain level, DSP settings, recording distance, and the app or device being used. It is a great product and I would of given it 5 stars but when I ordered this l initially miss understood the packages, I realised I had chosen the wrong package, then I found out I couldn't order the little receiver wich fits into the until separately, but in all the until is brilliant.

Great Piece of Equipment
I’m just beginning to explore the recording capabilities of the S1, but I can tell you it is the best micro PA system I have ever used. I took it to a seminar recently where the speakers were in large rooms. I turned the S1 on and put it on the table in front of me. It picked up the whole room, even questions from the back of the audience. I also appreciate that it has the fit and finish of a serious piece of audio equipment. Well done!

This portable studio is an absolute game-changer. I was able to get my hands on this device for the first time at SXSW & as cliche as it may sound this tech is absolutely ‘cutting edge’ for the artist & creator community. Very necessary tool for the creatives constantly on the go!
